šŸˆ @Espngreeny: In final slap to the face, #Jets wait until too late for Tim Tebow to find a job to rel

The Jets I think know what they have now isnt going to be a long term answer, so they drafted a QB in the second round with all the other needs they have.

He is a straight up Winn (Tebow) he took a piss poor Denver team to the playoffs and beat a good Pittsburgh team.

Now, would I draft him as a QB? Not hardly

When defenses figured out how to stop that read option it was over with. Look at the 2nd times Kansas City & New England played Denver, they DESTROYED him. Im sorry the whole "all he does is win" argument (which is hilariously one that Skip Bayless makes constantly) doesnt hold water when he loses 5 of his last 6 starts. Add that to the fact that there was MULTIPLE games where he absolutely stunk it up for 3 and a half quarters and then led a late drive to win it because the defense kept him in it (and in one instance Marion Barber running out of bounces instead of running the clock out).

I am not saying all he does is win, but he has won. I don't care if he was horrible for an entire game other than one play a win is a win.

I get the not liking him, but to discount his wins because he didnt play as well as you think he should is silly. I want you to remember that the next time AJ plays crappy all game, but we still win

ex. 2nd half of the LSU game last year

There is a massive difference between "not playing well" and going 1 for 9 and throwing 2 interceptions, putting your team in horrible situations. its not that I dont like Tebow, I dont care for him either way. I just think he is an AWFUL QB that gets a ton of attention for everything except how he actually plays. Has he won? Yeah, Vince Young has a winning record as a starting QB... you gonna argue that hes a great QB? Hell no.

I'm not saying Tebow is a great QB not even close, but he did deserve better treatment than what he was given by the Jets. For not being a very a good QB I remember him beating a team you and I both love. I do think he gets more attention than he probably deserves, but I think that of a lot of athletes.

See with that argument you're just agreeing what I already said. He was mishandled BADLY by the Jets, I said that more than once. I also think Tebow brings alot of this stuff on him. He's the one that wanted to come to the Jets to be in a bigger market when Jacksonville said flat out back then that he could compete for the starting job, while the Jets said he was gonna be a backup... period. Now the Jets give him a chance to find a trade and several teams are willing to do the trade if only he is willing to at least entertain the idea of a position change, he refuses. Now hes unemployed and may not get a job anywhere in the NFL for 2013. At some point the finger pointing has to go towards Tebow some... Any win in college has nothing to do with what hes done or will/could do in the NFL. Many, many, many great, record setting college QBs have been terrible NFL QBs.

I'm surprised this is still going. Tebow was a great system QB in the right place at the right time at Florida. I always thought he was overhyped by ESPN/CBS. But he won. Fine. Can't argue that.

He is not an NFL QB. He is not the first nor the last great college football player to be great at one level and okay to bad at the next. Ryan Leaf, Eric Crouch, Eric Zeier, etc...

When WR's in Denver request to be traded when Tebow was named the starter. When comments like this are made by coaches.

"What were Broncos practices like before Peyton Manning?" "Everyone splits into their individual groups, and the receivers all run over to the receivers coach and ask, 'Hey coach, what are we working on today?' And then the receivers coach looks over and sees Tim Tebow launching footballs into the fourth row and says, 'I really don't think it matters, boys.'"

He was and is great at improvising. While everyone focused on him he runs around and flings it down to a now open guy. He never threaded the needle and put a ball in a spot where a WR was over the CB, under the Safety. Even the ball he threw to win the one playoff game was honestly a hail mary. The WR did all the work and it was a lucky play the way it all unfolded. But teams figured out how to stop him.

I see people comment that Tebow won a playoff game at Denver but Manning lost. Not a valid argument on their part. How many Super Bowls rings does Tebow have? How many over all MVP trophies and playoff wins does Peyton have?

He should play TE or RB. Heck I though the Jags should snatch him up and use him on 3rd and short or goal line as a QB. Simialr to the Wildcat many teams run. He'd help them sell tickets in his hometown.

The Jets were getting bad press because Tebow is a Christian. New York is a non-Christian town. This move doesn't surprise me at all.

Wow, just a little judgmental, ya think?!?! Tebow certainly does wear it on his sleeve, but to say NY is a non-Christian town is ridiculous. There are more Christians in metro NYC than all of Alabama, but it is very diverse for sure. I just think bringing in the "religion" thing is base and prejudicial.

The fact is, it has nothing to do with religion. Tebow simply is not a good QB. Some may say he actually sucks as a pro. His glory Florida days are way in the rearview mirror. Some of his throws are like a RB running a wildcat. Many knew he would have to switch positions to make in the NFL, the day he was drafted and as soon as Elway took over in Denver, Tebow was gone. I think Elway knows. Do you think that was because of his religion?
