I have a funny feeling this won't be user friendly.

Yeah...Doesn't look good for Alabama in this one...
-1 HBO

More minority plight. I thought America was PAST this.

Some people just can't let go of the past.

How about we talk about how the Romans abused Anglo-Europeans.......?

Didn't Bryant use the game with SC and Cunningham as a catalyst to move integration in sports forward? Probably won't even get a mention.

Yeah, whenever you have the confederate battle flag in the promo, its not going to turn out positive for anything/anyone Southern related.

I would hope they would tell Bryant's side of the story, but I'm going to guess no on that.

Show could have some promise.

Two things that will eliminate that prospect.

1) The show is being produced by HBO - no left leaning bias there at all.

2) The inclusion of Howell Raines on the panel of contributors. Raines, despite being an 'Alabama Boy' is as liberal and biased against the South as anyone. His editorial positions while editor of the New York Times made that newspaper's persuasion even liberal than it already was - something I thought impossible.

I can almost guarantee Raines will be the most detestable of all the contributors.

Didn't ESPN do a lengthy spot on the development of this movie about a month ago?

Have no idea, this is the first I have heard of the production.

Went to the link and saw where it was an HBO Production and that Howell Raines was one of the people that would provide commentary.

As a form of balance, John Mitchell (the first black player at Alabama) is also one of the commentators - per the linked advertisement, and I have never heard him say anything but positive comments about his time at Alabama and with Bryant.

Yah, but it was more than a month ago. I want to say it was in the pre-season.
