I believe the content is one of the reasons they're losing viewers. It's a part of this cord cutting we're talking about. Just yesterday I heard the question "what the point of having ESPN after January. There's nothing there worth watching."So you think ESPN's content is what's driving people to go to a plan that doesn't have ESPN? Or just the want to save money?
One of the reasons, now. One.
Nielsen, among several, is having a hard time tracking numbers like those. Stepping away from ESPN, football ratings, etc., they've started using things like Live+ ratings (covering OnDemand and DVR's) like Live+Same Day, Live+3, Live+7 and so on. I recall quite a few reports coming out when the last World Cup was televised. One of the big issues there were number of people watching the matches on devices Nielsen didn't track.Just wondering, how many of these 12 million viewers that have left the premises have returned on the internet package? Just wondering how they are counted against that total figure?
