šŸˆ ESPN ditches Coaches Film Room, opts for MNF Film Room instead for CFP Championship

I like Joe Tess. He's like Gus, just immerses himself in the game and gets excited. Gotta love that in a dull world where the only thing people get excited for is a fist fight amongst strangers or someone being stupid drunk on Instagram.

I really like Tess. Witten is just uncomfortable to listen to. He has the knowledge obviously but I have a hickory walking stick that can express itself better. Boog is just awful. He really wants to be Marcus Spears but he ain't. Got no use for McShay

IMO they are ruining a good thing by taking away the coaches

I'm with you on Tess, I've always liked him. Witten is awful and is constantly getting names, and even plays, wrong and just the idea of why they thought Booger would be a good idea is beyond me.

But I also found nothing redeeming about the Coaches Film Room. Like I can kinda understand someone wanting to watch it AFTER the fact (even then it was awful to me) but the thought of watching someone watch a game live is the most stupid thing I've ever heard of.

The only real problem I have with watching the Coaches Film Room is the coaches take up too much space. I want to watch the game.

Several of the coaches do provide some really good insight at times. Some I'd rather not listen to.

The AFCA Conference could be partly to blame here. It's Jan 6th-9th in San Antonio.

Only way I've watched it was DVR it while watching the game on regular stream. Yeah I ain't watching a game with anymore intrusion than the regular commentators

Terrible option on a big screen TV
Picture quality or what?

It depends on your internet. Our cable company (who we get internet from) has certain times when it will slow down and even Netflix would look like crap and at other times its perfect. If you have suspect internet, watching a game on ESPN3 would look like watching it on an old school dial up internet Real Player video.

@TerryP
Directv
Espn, espn2, espnu, esn...
Dont see a espn3

ESPN3 is on the internet. Dish and most cable companies give you free access to ESPN3, not sure about Direct.

Thankfully (knock on wood) I've never had that issue. Recently, a friend said he'd tried YouTubeTV and was disappointed in its streaming quality. For the hell of it I signed up for one of their five day free trials and didn't have any issues. Hell, even with Chromecast still had good results.

I just wasn't thinking about what all it entailed, Josh. I know m neighbors have Direct, but also have their 'net access through AT&T with one of their bundles. It just didn't dawn on me someone wouldn't.

BTW, I saw something a month or so ago that Dish had just launched their last satellite. It's either going away in a few years or we're not going to see satellite TV, period. I suspect it's the latter.
