🏈 Don't be afraid to post

Is there a way to put lines or some type of delineation between posts? They're just all jumbled together, it seems.

Yes, there is. I'm working on that very thing this afternoon...likely get into it in another hour or so.

Looks like they are still playing with the controls figuring how to do it/put it together how they want to get it.

@TerryP @Doemasters Are there going to be the usual stuff on the header/Home page ,including the links for the shopping sites?

Yes. Just haven't got that far yet. The "Home Page" template was done yesterday. I added some preliminary content this morning and I'll get back to finishing it out in the next few days.

In the top nav bar you'll see two "home" tabs...the second one goes to the front page.

Click here for a sneak peak.

Ask and ye shall receive. Danke.

It'll be back...

I set it that way on purpose. On the old platform, once you'd posted you couldn't go back an edit.

Why? It's a pet peeve. I've seen people post opinions that were just downright stupid. Then, when called out, they went back and either deleted their post or changed it. (You've seen the drive-by drunk posts on various forums, I'm sure.)

Now, this is up for discussion if it should be changed. But, my thinking is if someone one is going to voice their opinion let it stand/remain for all to see. IF they find out they're wrong, let them say, "oops, I was wrong." I don't like the ol' "I never said that" when it's known they did, but deleted it so there's no reference...

Members? What are your thoughts on that setting? Five minutes, IMO, should give plenty of time to correct any typo's, etc.

Guests are those not logged in or those who haven't registered. Bots, like Google's, are noted as well. I've not looked at it closely but I'm assuming "notable" has to do with the number of posts a member has...

In the future we're going to refine the navigation tabs: it's on the list, just not next on the list.

Thanks for the reply.

I like the general reasoning here. But, five minutes seems like an awfully small window to me. Is that 5 mins to click the 'edit' button and then an eternity to complete the edit? Or, is that 5 min total to complete the edit and re-post?

I wouldn't mind seeing the limits for del/edit bumped up to 15 or even 30 min just to allow a little more time for folks to catch their own mistakes.

Too bad you can't make the ability to del/edit dependent on whether or not someone else had already replied to that specific post.

I'm fine with whatever as long as everyone knows the rules.

Seems fair...I'll go with that.

Okay, somehow I added a sig yesterday. Today, I uploaded two more images but I can't find them. After uploading image in the gallery, how do I get to the gallery? This may be a dumb question, but I'm confused. So, what else is new?

one thing of which i'm not a fan is the avatar.....size?.....dimensions?

mine is odd since it's a picture of my actual tag on my truck so it's not square. when i try to update it, it turns in into a square and crops the sides so i get this weird looking avatar that doesn't make any sense.

I had a thought. Since your plate won't fit as your avatar anymore, why not put it in your signature.
