This may have already been posted but I didn't see it so I thought I would ask. Did Harris see any playing time last week? I know it was his 1st game back so did he play or just suit up?

No, he didn't. He's still working with the scout team this week from what I've been told.

The media got up and ran with the story based on seeing a few minutes of warm-ups.

Terry, I saw Jerrell (#5) involved in a play while watching the game on TiVO. I know Upchurch is #5 as well. This particular play involved #5 in the South Carolina backfield putting pressure on Garcia.

Do you have official stats that state he didn't play?

The subject came up in another conversation and those didn't see him either.

As to reserves that played:

Alabama: 3A-T. Richardson, 5-Roy Upchurch, 6-Demetrius Goode, 7-P J. Fitzgerald, 8A-Chris Rogers, 15-Darius Hanks, 17-Brad Smelley, 20-Tyrone King, 21-Dre Kirkpatrick, 23-Robby Green, 26-Ali Sharrief, 29-Terry Grant, 36-Chris Jordan, 37-Robert Lester, 40-Baron Huber, 41-Courtney Upshaw, 50-Brian Selman, 57-Marcell Dareus, 64-Kerry Murphy, 67-J. Boswell, 80-Mike McCoy, 82-Earl Alexander, 87-Chris Underwood, 89-M. Williams, 96-Luther Davis, 99-Leigh Tiffin.

Matt, that's not what I'm drawing from the number changes. That said, BJ red-shirting has been a given for a long time barring any injury.

I see it along these lines...

Jerrell switching to 10 (happened yesterday, btw) gives us the ability to have Roy and Jerrell on the field at the same time for special teams duty.

Same with Rogers and Julio being a part of the same special teams grouping.

was thinking about about harris as you suggest.

but, didn't think about rogers and julio that way...

Just a guess...

From the warm-up drills today they had Nico playing WILL in our nickel formation. To me, that's telling.

We had been sliding Cory over from his SAM position to WILL in those passing downs.

Now, as another guess...it makes me think the staff is getting more confidence in Nico and what he brings to the table.
