In defense of the UF Board of Trustee's & AD, why would they listen to anything he has to say/recommend after he ran the program into the ground?

Look at who Strickland has hired.
I don't disagree with your take on Mullen. We talked about Mullen when he was still at UF. I know my question was, "what's going on with recruiting?"
The state of Florida, in football, looks a lot like the Roy Family in Succession.
Will the ole ball coach come out of retirement and finish up the season or put in a year or two? CBN is not gone yet but I’m sure Coach Spurrier has a list of potential candidates.

My question is, if you really think about it. How many coaches are there out there that are absolute home run hires. I can't remember, but I'm sure there were several Alabama fans who wanted FSU's coach to get the Bama job
Failed coach recommending his replacement. That's newsworthy.
Working theory here... Mullen doesn't give a shit about Florida, or Ole Miss. He does still have a soft spot for State... that move would benefit the Bulldogs and hurt Ole Miss in the short run and Florida in the long run. Maybe he was just playing some chess...
