No doubt but as you know there is the autobahn that has no speed limit. We can't even agree on which of those is the best model or the speed limits when there is a speed limit.

Ha ha, so true. Is the Autobahn really no speed limit? I'd be curious if there is no speed limit if fatalities are through the roof.

There is no number limit on most of the autbahn (there are hard limits in some places), but they do have an advisory limit (130kph/81mph) that impacts responsibility assignment in an accident, and laws that limit speed to some limits on trucks and other certain vehicles. They can do that because licensing is hard and there are tons of restrictions on vehicles for safety as well as a myriad of other laws that mean people distance better and drive more attentively.

I have seen multiple media reports of customs catching fake ones from China coming in. No idea how many may have made it to actual use.

I have been under the impression that the first test that were given were through the CDC and probably from China. Almost all of those test were showing positive results for Corona, not Covid19 specifically. I believe P Trump ordered to quit using that test and for the US to come up with
our own test.

I believe a president from some country in Africa used some of the Chinese test. They tested some animals, motor oil and paws paws. All those
test came back as positive. The Chinese are not to be trusted.

Do not want to get into a mask/no mask debate but something I have never seen anyone explain is why doctors and nurses wear mask if they do nothing.

Because there is no explanation for it. My father is a retired vascular surgeon. Wore a mask in the OR for 35 years. He'll be glad to know the mask was pointless.

No one has ever claimed a mask is 100% effective. There's only one explanation for why some people fail to see that.

Pretty sure you missed my point, I am trying to say surely there is a reason for a mask of nurses and doctors wear them. Agree not 100% but they are not pointless.
