| LIFE CV-19: Effects on life, work, and sports

It's funny because nothing is ever true except your point of view. It's always a mischaracterization on someone else's part, but never yours. Those millions you're speaking of, they're also not near the virus in most cases. People in higher transmitted areas, urban areas and suburbia have that option of grocery delivery.

Once again, don't break the law and you won't be in court.

Get or find a career where you have that ability.

Once again, you have decision making power. Whether or not you make those decisions is on you. But keep playing the same old tired victim card, cause that seems to be taking you to higher places.

Before you respond again. Re-read what you just said and tell me whether the defensiveness and just sheer asshole attitude you're coming at me right now is warranted. Have I been a dick to you? Have I insulted you? No, not even close. I don't understand what's "funny" here, what I said isn't my freaking view point, man. What "view point" is it that not every place is able to have groceries delivered and not everyone is able to just sit at home right now? That's not a "view point." It's the way it is.

I didn't break the law, I was there covering a case but thank you for showing your true colors.

I didn't say you were being a dick to me, but you always play the side of the victim and all I was doing was combating your theory that you have to let someone cough in your face to survive. You like many others in society simply think the truth and being straightforward is being an asshole or aggressive. My thoughts have been the same since this thing started, and you didn't like me then and don't like me now. I'm not being hindered, but you are the one way more scared than me, so I can only wonder who is living the happier life.

True colors? Cause you said you went to court and I took it as you went as a criminal? Sorry I was so far off base to assume that. Boy, how long you been waiting to say something like that? Don't like your job and what comes with it, quit! You have a choice. That's all I have to say. You want every answer handed to you, but if you want something bad enough and truly believe in what you want, you can make it happen. But taking the easiest way does always present more problems.

Where was I playing a victim? You argued against me saying that I dont control whether you cough or sneeze in my face, I never once "played the victim." I simply pointed out that some of us dont have the choice of whether or not we sit at home all day, which is what you implied. I dont dislike you at all, I dont know you. So, again no clue where that comes from. Now, you're claiming that I'm "way more scared" than you? How so? There has literally not been one single day that I've stayed at home (except weekends). If I, personally, had the choice of whether to go to work or sit at home I would still go to work. That is my own personal opinion, not everyone feels that way. Im also considerate enough to not think that a store requiring you to wear a mask or stand six feet away from others is not somehow hindering my freedoms.

You've made a whole lot of assumptions in here for really no reason. I said I sat in a courtroom, that's all I said. You assumed its because I did something wrong and then proceeded to act like a pompous ass about it. I haven't been waiting to say anything. Like every sentence you just said was an assumption or accusation for no reason at all. What answers do I want handed to me? Good grief.

No, this is in preparation to have bar and inside operations in addition to take out and patio. I do get your point, though.

I know a few HR folks that are holding people to it. One said if she calls them back and they say no. She fights that individuals unemployment claim.

On my Notice of 'Temporary Furlough', near the bottom, there's this nice little bit of info;
"Should you refuse our offer to return to work, or fail to report to work without notice, while you are able and available, _ _ _ will consider this as your resignation of employment which may affect your eligibility to receive unemployment benefits".
There goes your gravy train and your job.

Another more protracted lockdown is on the horizon for us. Another tidbit, I watched a news segment in which Sen Grahm was slamming Pelosi for her mega trillion bill that would pay a family $2k each adult monthly and $500 each kid. That wasn’t what he slammed it for, it was loaded with non virus funding.

So, pretty much all the schools around here (at least those that we cover) have completely changed their graduation plans. Virtually all of them had planned to do a sort of altered graduation where each graduate went one-by-one (from their car) to the stage with six family members in tow to receive their diploma. Yesterday, virtually all of them changed course and now are all holding more traditional ceremonies. One of them is having a completely traditional one with no limit on guests and the only difference is each family has to distance six-feet from other families. Another - the biggest one - is doing four different ceremonies with 125 kids in each block, and each kid can have no more than six guests attend.

Where are you? Are patrons even allowed in bars right now?
Went to a bar and grille last night (didn't have Taco Tuesday, again, damnit!) and had dinner and a few beers. I passed...let's see, five, maybe six other places that were open? Maybe seven or eight...have to count.

Charleston Pour House is opening today...that's live music. Gyms, pools, salons, and the like open back up Monday (limited capacity.)

I caught GBS going into my senior year in high school and ended up having a relapse around graduation of that year.

Now, flu shots have been linked to its recurrence/relapses so I don't take them. Every year I hear it from the pharmacist and insurance company, "take the flu shot" and find myself explaining, "No. I won't."

What I find interesting about this article is it takes me back to the fall of last year and how they were predicting the influenza season to be this year. In a word, BAD. But, very little coverage now.
