I'll be honest, I oppose this from a philosophical standpoint. I know its practical, but having the fans excluded from the game day experience seems wrong to me for some reason.
You don't think AirBus or another manufacturer or private equity firm would buy them? IMO, Boeing isn't on the top of the government's save list.
These sports writers are begging for any type of story to stay relevant...
Think about it - So if the virus is still prevalent enough to not have big crowds, the NCAA (of GOVT in general) is going to allow 22 guys to tackle, sweat, and breathe each other after weeks of practicing with an 85+ man roster together?
We'll either be clear or we wont! Taking a grey area approach ain't going to happen with the legal liability at stake.
No doubt, but now is the time to be investing.

Auburn's November schedule starts with Arkansas. After the game one of the Auburn players tests positive. Then we'd have the entire team, along with Arkansas's, in isolation.
What happens to their game with LSU? Forfeit?
It's not just young people though. We have a very popular "diner" here and every single morning it is jam packed. This morning there were at least 100 cars in the parking lot.
This isn't a fair criticism. The Big 12 commissioner made that statement, not McMurphy.
I don't think the government would allow it to happen. That would create a virtual worldwide monopoly on passenger aircraft and cause possible issues with defense contracts.

The year is already off to a terrible start in many aspects but it may go down as the worst year in football history if Kirk Herbstreit is accurate.
We are all currently being affected in some aspect following the outbreak of the coronavirus and hoping to return to normal as soon as possible but the way the ESPN college football analyst sees it, this fall may be much the same.
In fact, Herbstreit recently shared his firm belief that there will be no college football or NFL played this fall.
“I’ll be shocked if we have NFL football this fall, if we have college football. I’ll be so surprised if that happens,” Herbstreit recently said according to TMZ Sports.
The ESPN analyst further explained his opinion is based on the fact we likely won’t have a vaccine for the coronavirus for some time. When you take that into consideration, it may be tough for football to continue until that time arrives.
“Just because from what I understand, people that I listen to, you’re 12 to 18 months from a vaccine,” Herbstreit continued. “I don’t know how you let these guys go into locker rooms and let stadiums be filled up and how you can play ball. I just don’t know how you can do it with the optics of it.”

They may not let AirBus acquire them (creates minimal competition) but a private equity acquisition could help get rid of the fat within Boeing and fix their 737 problem. When stocks go down, PE looks for opportunities.
PE rarely ever leave companies better off. Personal experience with Bane and KKR. They siphon off the good parts of a company then mismanage the rest until they either bankrupt or someone stupid enough to buy them comes along.
