It's definitely for a good reason. I'm sitting here wondering how Oats is going to deal with this roster. You have Latrell Wrightsell returning - a man who averaged 23 minutes last year. But we're bringing in a good ass veteran in Chris Youngblood, who was just a beast for USF last season. Then you have the competition with Aden Holloway and Labaron Philon on who will potentially sub in for Sears at PG. Holloway has experience, but struggled as a freshman. Where does Houston Mallette fit in? A man who had three games with five three-pointers made. Sears had one in the regular season (8-16 vs Purdue) and two in the NCAAT (7-14 vs Clemson and 5-11 vs GCU).
I don't think Oats cares about the pressure either. Doesn't seem like something he's ever cared about. As long as he gets his guys to buy in to play both ends, it'll all work out.

I think it'll boil down to a simple question, "who is 'hot.'"
Cal made the 'news' a few years ago with his platoon system. I'm seeing a double digit player rotation.

This is where it's going to be interesting for me. Because Oats has always believed whoever is in a shooting slump to just keep shooting. As long as you play good D, he'll let you fire away.
