My hats off to Utah for a job well done tonight. I really was impressed with the speed they displayed, which clearly overwhelmed us. Congrats Utes, you deserve it.

I know it hurts Bama Nation and expectantly there will be a lot of embarrassment, anger, and resentment coming from a lot of fans. I will however move on from this year and start looking ahead. It's no secret that we are still a young team and this all happened a year in advance. All I'm saying is, everyone keep your heads up. Even though this year didn't end on a good note, we're still Alabama.

I wish the best of luck to the Seniors that are leaving, I know it's tough for them. The good news is the sun will rise tomorrow, and there is always more football to play. Roll Tide.

Agree.

Look, I know this loss sucks. Believe me I'm freaking furious. But none of us were expecting us to be where we are right now. Not this year at least. So congrats to the team and GL to the seniors.

Even though I'm supremely pissed at how pathetic we came out and played tonight right from the start, I'm still proud of my team for what they've accomplished this year. We have a great future ahead. Many thought 2009 would be our year. Who knows? Maybe it will be.

Keep you head up and stay classy Bama. I know its hard and I know how pissed we all are. I'm restraining myself very hard not to break any rules on this forum venting like I'd like.

Congrats Utes and the fans that have displayed class on our forum.

Roll Tide Roll!

I know, I'm trying to stay positive as well. All I know is without Andre', Antoine and Marlon next year....oh boy, do I have a headache.

I would say if tonight is any indication of our line they we are in BIG trouble. Then I remember that our line will be even more inexperienced than tonight's. Please tell me it will get better.

The word Chemistry comes to mind though BD, and this make-shift line had none of it tonight. All the talent is there to have another solid line next season, but probably not as dominating.

There is going to be a lot of speculating this spring and off-season. The only way the questions will be answered is on the field though, which unfortunately is roughly 7 months away. :(

It will get better. Saban will insist on an O-line that does its job. There are men on this team that have been working hard in practice, waiting for their opportunity. Have faith in the process.

It will get better Delta. Look at the prospects coming in. Some even think we might have a better class coming in than last year! I want everyone to remeber this is just the 2nd year of Sabans process (3rd if you want to get technical). A year or two ahead of where we expected we would be. So just chill. The sun will come up tomorrow. We will be 'aight.

Personally next season cannot get here soon enough for me! It will be getting real interesting the next month or so for recruiting/NSD and I can't wait! I just hope recruits see this game tonight and realize that we are in need of depth and more talent and that who knows, they have a chance to prove themselve and help the Tide win next season.

Saban knows the depth along the OL is poor. Last year and this year he has made it a point to go out and sign some top quality players. On the other side, we lack speed on the ends, and he knows that too. It has hurt us a lot in games like tonight, and against Florida. He is fixing that problem too. It will take some time for these guys to develop, but before long, these issues will be resolved. The 2 deep on BOTH sides of the ball will be stacked.

Thanks for your response Porter and others too. My only question is regarding your comment about depth being poor. Do you mean experienced depth? With signing Barrett Jones and Tyler Love last year (and it seems as least one more - maybe Boswell) I don't understand the depth issue. It seems we've really been signing the linemen the past 2 classes.

We need 10 guys who can play quality snaps along the OL. Right now, we don't have that. Love and Jones are getting medicals, so I don't really count them. They are both going to be in the mix for playing time while they are at UA. Boswell obviously got thrown in the fire tonight, and actually played pretty well considering his lack of experience.

Good post, 27.

Ute fans, I, too, want to congratulate on an outstanding win. I was very impressed with the intensity and aggressive play that your team demonstrated tonight. Fantastic game plan--your team was well prepared for the task at hand.

IMO, your team deserves some consideration for Number 1. The Utes appeared to have Bama on its heels, more so than what Florida did in the SECCG.

Again, salute to the Utes for an awesome season.

Enjoy the victory!

I'm not happy about any of this, but I do have to give credit to Utah. They took full advantage of our lack of O-Line and brought constant heat. Chemistry does have alot to do with it. Why we didn't change up more on D or go no huddle ourselves on O is beyond me, but whatever... water under the bridge now. On the whole a great season, just a rough way to go out with two losses in a row - just wish we had shown better tonight.

not to de-rail the thread but....

i could watch that thing all night.

I agree. Utah is an awesome team. They were tough, fast and well coached. Grats to all the classy Utes who showed up here. It's cool that you can enjoy another GOOD victory against a top tier school.

I wish y'all could join the SEC!

I hate how bad Bama got pounded but it was still fun talking with y'all heading up to the Sugar Bowl.

Here is to the future for both programs!
