Privacy director keeps your calls from ever coming through. But, that was an unnecessary step considering they all said Pay-Phone in the first place. :D

If it wasn't for that laundry mat duty...what would you ever do for quarters boss?
Play Pac-Man?

I thought your jail-time was something we as a staff agreed not to talk about in public? ;sh ;scr

Lol, the only reason Cowherd talks about Bama is because he knows people like Altie will get so upset. He's good at what he does and doesnt pretend to know x's and o's.

Actually, I get upset with people that are not 'Bama fans who look down on 'Bama fans for not agreeing that ESPN did not unduly concentrate on Alabama.

I realize that you and your type are high on the mountain and ofen feel a sort of smug sanctimony when speaking to Alabama fans, but there is a bias present in ESPN reporting.

Whether you can discern that or not is of little concern to me. What does aggravate me a bit is the wholesale dismissal, by people such as yourself, of any mention of their bias as the crazy imagination of delusional 'BAma fans.

CAD, you've got TB3 pegged in the wrong hole.

Even though he's a fan of LSU, he's also a student at Alabama. I can tell you from personal experience that he doesn't look down on Bama fans. I can tell you because I know him and also know that his family are Bama fans.

I've personally witnessed the hell he gets offering a point of view that is pro-Bama from LSU fans.

As to the bias against Bama from ESPN...that's just up to the individual. I don't see it, but others do.

FWIW, I invited him here because I wanted his input. He may take a little jab every once in a while, but if he crosses the line (which I know him well enough to say he won't) that's all on me.

Sometimes, despite the clothing, you have to look at what is underneath...if that makes sense.

Either Tuesday or Wednesday, not sure which, Cowherd spent a good portion of one of his hours talking about Notre Dame and their thoughts on how possible it was for them to lure Urban Meyer away from Florida.

I could have taken that segment and played it side by side with one of his shows in December of '06 with Bama and Saban and, with the schools and coaches names redacted, challenged you to tell me which was which.

I have my doubts you could tell the difference.

You know, last year when a tornado went through Enterprise Cowherd made some light-hearted comments about that being tornado alley and, considering the situation, I didn't think that was very appropriate. Crass, to be honest. It got on my nerves momentarily until I remembered he'd made comments similar to those about an earthquake a few years ago.

Everyone hates on Danielson. I heard a great interview with him yesterday on Finebaum.

I girl put a little too much tonic in my drink this week. Didn't stop me from ordering another, or tipping her.

Does that seem like a trivial example? I hope so..because what these guys say on air is trivial.

I'm with a few here...some get entirely too worked up about what you read and what you hear.

My thought, if you don't like what's being said, pick up the phone, call them, tell them who you are and why you are calling, and express your opinion. IF you are hung-up on, chances are you said something to deserve it...

IMO, humbly yours...

Right, Terry. Wasn't his comment that the people in Enterprise deserved to die because they were dumb hicks from Alabama or something like that?

I am surprised that your honesty and decency would allow you to not hold someone accountable for such words.

Laughing that one off as just being his job and part of good entertainment is, quite frankly, enough to make someone want to vomit.

Pandering to a fool and making excuses for belligerent imbeciles is not what reasonable folks are all about.

As far as all the other foolishness, I doubt very seriously if Cowherd vengefully attacks the lifestyle, beliefs, education level, intelligence, and financial well being of Notre Dame fans in an arrogant and disdainful way.

Terry, give me a break. I wasn't gravely insulting TigerBait and surely he can speak for himself. Back off the trigger a bit.

Normally, in a conversation between adults, if he chooses to do so he can respond in any way he sees fit.

I haven't cursed him, personally insulted him, outrageously accused him of anything. Nothing of the sort.

He made a response to one of my posts, I responded back. Isn't that how it works?

You might be pretty surprised. :)

I am mostly a lurker here and only comment from time to time, but I listen to CC and have heard him dog lots of different sports clubs pretty hard.

I will say that I have never heard him dog big market teams on a regular basis (see USC). Then again, USC has been pretty amazing in the last 8 years.

No, he didn't cross that line. I thought he was a little course in his comments, but it wasn't near the "deserving to die" line.

As to his comments about ND, like I said earlier, they mirrored what he said about Alabama when the word got out that Saban was going to be contacted.

That said, I knew what the deal was with Saban long before Colin started his tirade. Using TB3 as someone to verify this, I made a public statement to a lot of LSU fans that were making fun of Bama fans at that point that "they could laugh all they wanted but the story had legs and they needed to sit back and watch it develop."

(took some hell for that...but in the end, all's well.)

I'm one of a minority, it appears, that doesn't get all caught up in some things people say. I'd bet, if you were paid on the radio, you'd still voice your opinions on Auburn fans just to get them riled up, wouldn't you?

Sure it is CAD.

But, you've also made a comment that I know is wrong. Does that somehow prohibit me from voicing my opinion as well?

This has nothing to do with board policies and you know that. It has to do with me knowing him.

Just got him wrong, that's all.

Back off the trigger? Geez, I've been the lock on the trigger for you CAD.

Agreed but I think you can deliver the message with a little more diplomacy.

Have to say not only do I agree but I appreciate that you have not stooped to doing so. Still, some of your delivery comes across as mephitic and obsequious. Sometimes you might sway more people to your way of thinking with a different approach. You catch more flies with honey. ;)

About AuNecks, yes. I would burn them to the ground with verbal attacks if I could.

But to do that to just anyone because it was the latest story?

You know, I really don't know if I would or not, Terry. I have never been a really base and flippant type of person who has no core or set of beliefs on which to guide my life with.

Would money turn me into a slobbering sycophant that globbed onto whatever the latest story is and bash this or that or this set of people or that set of people regardless of what I really thought?

I guess I would if I were starving to death and my life depended on the job and it was something I just had to do.

Otherwise, and you may or may not believe this, I don't really know if my conscience would allow it. I guess I am a weirdo in that fashion, I still care about how I feel after I say things.

I am not the kind of guy to just go with whatever way the wind is blowing. I have an anchor that keeps me in place.

I don't understand your big words and am afraid you have lost me. I do know that I was never caught obsequiating and to this day I will deny that I ever did it.

Just to clarify, are you saying that Cowherd or TB3 (or both) that has no set of core beliefs, lives and unguided life, is a slobbering sycophant, doesn't have a conscious and is anchorless?

I've lost track of who's being psychoanalyzed.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. You probably have saved me quite a few times. Thanks, Terry.

I meant no harm to TigerBait. I don't know, I guess I just automatically don't like non-'Bama fans making light of what I see as a clear and visible media bias directed at 'Bama. You know, as if I am just a dreamer and imagine things that aren't there, etc...

Let's not even start talking about the even handedness of Miami sportscasters and journalists and what a nut I am for imagining that they are honest and out to only inform their readers of the truth.

I know I am just living in some kind of fantasy world concerning my thoughts on that also and it is just me that can see it. Nothing was unusual there. They do that to everybody and what we need are some Miami fans on this board that attend the UofA to tell me that I really have no clue as to what I am talking about.
