| FTBL Cody, triple teamed, but still in on tackle. (video)

And, I wouldn't want to be on the bottom of this pile.

Dear Coach Bob Connelly,

They still bull rush in college football.

LMAO at that belly flop. Like when Kareem Jackson supermanned on a pile during the Clemson game.

Sure does feel good to have a lineman that dominates. Now all we need is a lineman to step up and get some sacks. :D

That is a beautiful thing! Out ehre in Hog land there has been quite a discussion about Mt. Cody. Ark has a very good Center (either won the Rimington award or is on the watch list) and this matchup is getting a lot of talk. It will still require at least a double team to contend with Mr. Cody, but Lord isn't it great to have a beast like this anchoring our D-line!? :)

Good point, TB. A lot of folks think this is the best match up in the game.

I'm one of them.

I'm also of the opinion that if Caldwell can't block Cody one on one, Luigs won't be able to as well.

I've read about this great match-up and don't disagree. My only question - will Luigs have to win the battle for Arkansas to be successful? If so what happened their first two games?

Cody states Arkansas is a good running team. I see them more of a passing threat with Petrino at the healm. Heck, I think Dick has over 300 yards passing in each game. That's my main concern, and I'm not sure how Cody plays into all that other than applying pressure.

Even if it is a wash Arkansas will still have to do a lot more than just win that battle to be successful. Their offensive line hasn't been successful their first two games against Western Illinois and La-Monroe if you consider allowing 8 sacks, 4 per game, as a sign of offensive line success.

Michael Smith, Arkansas' RB, is a good RB. I wouldn't expect to hear anything more from anyone other than saying "they are a good running team"

But, using the term "passed for 300 yards per game" as a concern really shouldn't be. They were behind on both teams in the 4th quarter. All they could do...were forced to do...was pass the ball.

I'll take Marquis Johnson and Javy Arenas going up against their leading receiver, Joe Adams, any day of the week. This isn't a case of having a WR that stands 6'4" and they are playing "jump ball" all day. Their leading WR is virtually the same size as our DB's. They have no speed advantage against our corners and are out-manned in every possible scenario against our safeties.

DJ Williams, their TE, could create a few mis-match opportunities. However, that is only the case if they handle our 3-4 man rush easily...which, is doubtful.

I suspect they are going to try to run DJ across the middle since we've been weak there. Mr. Williams, meet Mr. Woodall and his friends.
