some questionable ones...

#6 Georgia - I'm not sold on them at all, they will lose 1-2 of these away games in my opinion @ Mizzou, @ SouthCarolina @ Auburn.
#15 Texas - really - let them get beat week 3 in Oxford, Mississippi please - Texas has two bye weeks 9/22 and 11/17 - WTF is up with that....
#23 Florida - Who'd they beat least year?

Georgia looks a little high to me and I would have thought Arky would have been a bit higher, even with the coaching change. The way the talking heads at ESPN have been sucking up the USC koolaid, I was expecting to see them at #1.

how do you have more first place votes but be in #2???

Because LSU had more second and third place votes.

Every team you see listed at the has been voted in the top 25. As example, see Mizzou with three points? That could be three 25th place votes.

#1 - 25 points
#2 - 24 points and so on down the line.

Crimson Tide Ranked No. 2 in the USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches' Poll

The football team begins the season ranked No. 2 in the USA TODAY/ESPN Top 25 Coaches' Poll, as the preseason rankings were released on Thursday. The Crimson Tide will face three of the teams in the top 10 including No. 1 LSU, No. 8 Michigan and No. 10 Arkansas.

All Big12 teams have two byes. They don't have a championship game.
