It looks like he exploded on a reporter when asked a question he didn't like. It's safe to say if I had a man-crush on any man it would be Coach Saban.
Video should be out tomorrow but here's how it went:
Reporter: "It is one game, but when your defense holds arguably one of the best running back tandems to 20 yards total, confidence-wise, what do you think that could do --- "
(Saban interrupts)
SABAN: "Well, it's one game. You know? Confidence can screw you up, confidence can be a good thing, you know. But, what our players need to understand, what our fans need to understand, what everybody needs to understand: it's one game. It's one game. 'Aight? And we need to keep playin' better, and we need to improve, and our players need to have the focus to improve."
(Saban pauses, then stares at the reporter nodding his head to make sure his point is understood, and then continues)
SABAN: "And remember how they got where they got, rather than think we can just show up now and beat whoever we play... Cause we have a tendency to think that way around here."
(Gotta love the reality check he gives to the fans and to the media! Saban's arms are now extended outward, and he is getting noticeably furious.)
SABAN: "...Instead of just kickin' people's @$$ like you're supposed to, and workin' to do it. 'Aight? So, when you ask me those kind of questions, it really pi$$e$ me off. I'm not pi$$ed off at you, 'aight? But, that mentality. You gotta work and earn it! And you gotta earn it in the next game. And what we did tonight? It was great. We won one game. We got eleven more. We need to take 'em one game at a time, and we need to improve as a team."
"And that's what our team needs to be focused on! And if we wanna be a good team, that's what we need to do. That's how everybody should think! "
(My favorite part of the tirade right here: I love the example he uses)
SABAN: "We made a 'B' on the midterm, so we're gonna take a week off and get a 'D', and have a 'C' average? Or are we gonna go try and get an 'A'?"
"This is one game. What we did in this game? It's one game".
Moments later, the room fell silent in disbelief. Then the Coach muttered, somewhat sarcastically...
SABAN: "Now are y'all scared to ask another question?"
And the room erupted with laughter.
