You didn't understand my post. The #1 seed does not get a choice. The committee gives preference to the #1 seed when using all of their criteria for assigning teams to sites.

Sorry to jump in, but I am confused about what you are saying as well. How can they give the #1 seed a preference if they have already decided based on your criteria?

@252BAMA, I was waiting to see if @Sgt. Lincoln Osiris noticed that...ya know, since she's his gal and all.

When her article was first published it had the playoff games in Orlando instead of Miami...didn't get any better with the second edit.

Trevor Matich brought something up on yesterday's College Football Live that caught my attention.

I've always viewed the committee making selections and weighing in factors like "their QB was hurt in that loss" skeptically. It's part of the game, right?

Matich suggested that the committee would look at OU differently now because they fired their defensive coordinator and promoted McNeil. There's something about that notion that doesn't sit right with me. It seems we're looking at more and more "reasons" to forgive losses--and despite what we've seen from Texas, that was a bad loss for OU.
