Let's assume Alabama gets into the CFP as the 1 seed. Would we pick Miami over Dallas?
B. When assigning teams to sites, the committee will place the top two seeds at the most advantageous sites, weighing criteria such as convenience of travel for its fans, home-crowd advantage or disadvantage and general familiarity with the host city and its stadium. Preference will go to the No. 1 seed.
Apparently this means the committee will give preference to the #1 seed, and not that the #1 seed has their preference.
Precisely, would Alabama pick Miami or Dallas?
You didn't understand my post. The #1 seed does not get a choice. The committee gives preference to the #1 seed when using all of their criteria for assigning teams to sites.
