So, when will the complete Bowl Lineups be announced? I'm wondering how the SEC will stack up against the world this year. It seems a lot of 'experts' think the SEC is down and will fare poorly. I want to believe the SEC is pretty good and will hold it's own. They're just better at beating each other up.

Roll Tide! Beat everybody!

I would like to see MSU leap frog OU (again, a top 5 win should trump an inactive week IMO).

Could go either way. But ratings-wise, you know OU-Bama would be the best game. And the most dangerous for us.

There should be a list published within the next 24 hours with all the games. I'm thinking there's still decisions left to be made with a few five win teams though I may be wrong.

It's basically the final four, then the New Years Six, then the rest of the bowls are announced. (NY6 based primarily on final rankings.)

TV coverage will start around noon ...

How can the Nebraska loss be just a slightly worse? A loss is a loss right. I watch the OU and Texas game, Texas play to win the game. I didn't see the Mich.St. game. I do know something happen in the game, a flag, a play, someone here see the game?

:( Awarding a losing team a bowl game. I hope these team can get the fans to travel for them :D

Well, it would be a final chance to see their favorite team one more time before the eight month period until the next game. Plus one more chance to improve upon a disappointing season. OTOH, one more chance to be further disappointed. Horns of a dilemma?

@im4uainva

It's worth watching where SEC teams get placed for no other reason than last year and the results.

The first year of the playoff was also the first year the SEC offices assigned the remaining bowl games. This year, assuming Bama is in the playoffs and Ole Miss gets the invite to the Sugar, the SEC will decide where Florida goes, where LSU goes, etc.

What kind of match-ups will they be looking for in those games?

I want Alabama to be the team that beats OU in the playoffs.

I'm not saying they'll game it, but I won't be surprised if it comes out that way. I think the committee are pretty certain that Bama and OU are playing the best football in the country. Their choice would be to pair the best two first or give them both a chance to make the CG.

I won't be surprised to see Clem, Bama, Sparty, OU. Sparty has a better resume and had to win an extra game when OU was sitting at home. So they'd be justified in jumping Sparty over OU.

It aligns similar teams, in terms of play/philosophy, in first round; sets up good storylines in Saban-Dantonio rematch and Big 10 vs SEC rematch; OU vs Clemson has two best QBs going head to head and Venables taking his D back to play OU would be interesting.

I think Bama and OU would win out and setup a big time CG with the right amount of drama.

I don't think they could jump Bama over Clemson to make those pairings work, so I think Sparty makes the jump and the Committee sets the conditions for its two best teams to play in the CG
