šŸ“” Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones arrested

Combine/pro day... Personal workout... Same drills. He will do well in all of them, and more importantly be healthy for all of them.

If the case is the main reason he doesn't play this year, it could hurt him. But for those studs who don't have legal issues, sitting out the season makes more sense.

A lot of people are saying that is exactly what Clowney did his last year at USCe. He sat out even though he was in uniform.

Being healthy for combine won't matter as much as what's on tape. Tape doesn't lie. Jerry Rice was slow and not big. But on the field, a consistent stud. I stand by my statement. If he sits out because of the law or because not on a team, will not sniff the first round.

Stupid seems to be contagious with this generation of kids. I saw an article several days ago about a kid who took a selfie with a gun and shot himself in the head. Another genius got bit by his "pet" King Cobra?!?!

What a couple of Shitsticks. Cam has/had everything going for him, poised to become a great one here and ruins it at 2:30 in the am. I can only hope these two can get their act together for their own good. I don't think neither of these two will play another down at Alabama if these charges stick. I wouldn't want to be around Coach Saban today .

Not many examples of guys sitting out the year prior to being drafted and going 1st round, especially due to legal woes.

@rick4bama - what's the deal with your signature? Is it a story of someone you know? Sorry, I didn't quite follow. I'll admit, I'm usually the bulb that makes the others in the room look brighter, whether they are or not...

I'd consider myself to be a visionary... lol

The legal woe's add another layer. But in general, a guy like Fournette, has little if NOTHING to gain this year. He could move up 1-3 spots on a big board, but could fall rounds if he plays poorly or gets injured.

These universities and fans have a hard time grasping someone not wanting to represent their program out of "pride"... But as far as a flat out business decision, the universities are cashing in tremendously on a kid like Fournette basically risking his and his families future for some atta boy's and espn promos.

Agree 100% on Leonard. I think it will actually be tough for him to improve his draft position this year. But I'm no scout. He's been used A LOT the last 2 years. Add one more year of that and I think it could hurt his stock. Elliott had not been used anything like Leonard through his first 2 seasons.

I'm still amazed Clowney was selected first. I say that because he did little to impress his Junior season. Rather he mostly drew criticism for giving half hearted effort. May have been better off to just sit out and not draw the constant criticism. And heck, a lot of injuries happen when people aren't going 100%. It's not like that is a safer way to play.

But is it not that same money they're making not getting put back into the program, academics, facilities, treatment etc? Yes, the coaches make a killing, but the University of Alabama can attest to the growth that same money can bring to the academic world and support us normal students and we work to progress. Ultimately we're all cash cows for someone bigger in line. So what is your suggestion, let these superstars play for two years and sit around for another year while waiting to see if their talents translate into the NFL? The whole training for a year does nothing to prepare these guys, because you ultimately have it or you don't. Training at this point will not cement a future in the NFL. There is no guarantee that Fournette will make it in the NFL. I think he will, but you can never tell. Why not push these guys to graduate and have a future after football. Yes, some folks are only worried about their team winning a Championship and don't give a damn about the actual University. To me, that's the problem with society today. It is a fact that NFL careers are short, so why not give these guys an opportunity to succeed in life rather than them fall into the exact lives they were trying to get away from when they were working to get to the NFL?

Is this a federal crime since it was in a state park ?
Not sure what the law in in LA but in some states it would be because the weapon was stolen as well in possession of a drug. Some states enhance the charges when drugs are present. It wouldn't be Federal because of a State Park but could be if it was a Federal Park.

I believe in second chances as we all have had them, but if he is found guilty he will be off the team with a felony. If the case falls apart due to evidence or for whatever reason I can see 1/2 season suspension.
