C.J. Mosley received his fourth consecutive player of the week honor, as the senior linebacker was one of 10 to be recognized by Alabama coaches after Saturday's shutout of Ole Miss. Mosley, who was also named the SEC's defensive player of the week, had seven tackles and a key pass deflection in Saturday's 25-0 win. Alabama coach Nick Saban heaped praise upon Mosley after the game for his leadership and ability to navigate the defense against Ole Miss' fast-paced offense.

On offense, wide receiver Kevin Norwood, right guard Anthony Steen and running back T.J. Yeldon received recognition. Norwood had five catches for 40 yards, Steen graded out the best among Alabama's offensive linemen and Yeldon ran for 121 yards, the bulk of which coming on a 68-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Along with Mosley, safety HaHa Clinton-Dix was honored for the defense. Clinton-Dix had eight tackles, six of which were solos, and added two pass deflections.

Five Alabama special teams players were recognized: safety Landon Collins, linebacker Dillon Lee, punter Cody Mandell, kicker Cade Foster and wide receiver DeAndrew White. Mandell made a nice save on a bad snap early in the game, Foster hit three field goals -- one of which was from 53 yards -- while Collins, Lee and White made key special teams tackles.

Glad to see Dillon Lee and Landon Collins mentioned more. I cannot wait to see them on the field this month (assuming Alabama blows out every opponent like they should). Both of them have been flying around on ST and making plays, especially Collins.

You know, Alabama's defense might be good in the future :biggrin_blue:
