🏈 Buy or Sell? UGA wasn't focused on the game. They were looking ahead knowing they were going to be in the playoffs?

Georgia just needs to "reset" and then they'll be ready. They needed this loss so they could refocus.

Opinions?
So Kirby and UGA weren't focused against a team that has repeatedly been the biggest thorn in their side, led by the former boss of their HC? I doubt it. Kirby has had this game circled all year. Oh yeah, and they started the game up 10-0?

Alabama showed better resiliency after getting hit in the mouth and Georgia couldn't adjust. No doubt considering how delusional UGA fans are that they're buying this narrative. But Alabama was the better team in the SECCG and Bryce dragged his cleats all over their vaunted defense.

The game spun on a few plays.

Go back and look at the stats of the game and rewatch. It’s a much closer game than the score would indicate. Difference being uGA turned the ball over twice on interceptions deep in our territory. One being a pick 6.

On the blitz packages, I was wondering how uGA would handle this. They seemed to be more of a traditional blitz rush up the middle. What gave us so much issues in previous games was a very wide split out DE speed rush. Not a lot of teams have DEs that can split out that wide and have enough speed to get to the QB. That’s not uGAs MO on pressure. Will be interesting if round two happens if the re-scheme their rush package.

If round two does come into being, uGA will have the advantage to “change” things up. They will attack in ways we have not seen prior. They moved the ball well against us the first time just without scoring. I would expect a tough game with them.

Be hard to find a way "we have not seen" wouldn’t you think....
SECw....gave us challenges this year....
I am all in on Michigan

Sure… but a way we have not seen uGA play. In game one I didn’t expect they’d change their MO when it’s worked all year. I doubt they attack the same way round 2. The question becomes which way they choose to attack? Makes prep much harder the second go around.

Look at Arky and how we struggled with them. The played 80% different than film had shown them all year long. We got that “uniqueness” all year long with teams as they HAD to change to have a chance. Vs uGA I didn’t expect much different than what they’ve shown all year long.

I doubt they can do that and be as effective with, what, 8 days to prepare if that? They better be focused on Michigan or there will be no rematch. They have a tough game. Take into account traveling, media responsibilities for the Natty, and even the process of getting home from Miami, rehab after that game, and everything else that comes with the first Playoff game responsibilities before that. I just can't see them dialing up a new blitzing package and thinking they only roll it out for us if we both make it to the Natty.

Agree with this but we all get caught up in the emotions of a big win and then the hype machines kick in that UGA is a bad team. Simply not true. Our D needs to play better and I would expect their D to play better. All equals a tighter game in the rematch. Assuming anything else is rat poison. But Cincy first!!!!

Georgia's generational defense is mostly to blame for this game. Stetson was a walkon for a reason. I don't put the loss on his shoulders though. His weapons disappeared.

Georgia was gifted a defensive game plan from LSU and Auburn and the UGA coaches CHOOSE not to use it. Secondary issues?

In what way were LSU or Auburn's defensive game plans any different than what Georgia did?

“Not focused” is a bullshit excuse! They went up 10-0 early in the 2nd quarter. UGA problem was plain and simple, in their first 12 games, when they punched a team in the mouth, that team folded. When they punched BAMA, BAMA countered.
They blitzed and got stoned at the line. I heard Mike Griffith on Finebaum and his claiming that a change to Daniels was the answer to all of UGA’s problems. Yes Bennett threw 2 picks, but he wasn’t the problem. He also made some plays with his legs and mobility. Daniels isn’t that mobile. UGA problem is that if they can’t get pressure with their front 7, it exposes a secondary that hasn’t been challenged all season.

Yep, in line with what I said about him being a sissy. Atleast that's what the inside of their program thinks about him.
A guy that will not sell out for his teamouts cannot be the leader the team because the guys in the locker room will not follow him. The old saying that he has to win over his teammates is true.

This idea however perplexes me because you would think Daniels has desires of being in the NFL. You do not achieve that by riding the pine unless you are truly injured.

Auburn pressured from a very wide edge making our LT and RT have to move/step out to reach the DE or Blitz. Actually, I don't think aU blitz as much as you think.... they got plenty of pressure with the Edge DE being spit so wide and rolled their LBs up to support the run.

uGA did more rush up the middle with their DEs for sure and even the LBs on blitz plays. Very few came from the edge.
