🏈 Bo Scarbrough

His suspension ends after four games (ULM). That means he's available to play against UGA, just don't know how healthy he is. Nothing's been reported on him because of the suspension.

he didn't look too hampered at fan day a few weeks ago. he was still wearing a black (non-contact) jersey, but i think that was mainly just to make sure he didn't get re-injured during a practice.

from what i've seen, he should be good to go next saturday; which he will be needed. i'd love a heavy dose of the 2-headed monster of him and Henry busting through the line.

This part right here, brings up something I have been wanting to discuss. Everyone is wanting us to "run the damn ball. " and "Henry needs to be touching the ball 25-30 times a game." But I guess they all forgot about the schedule complaint threads, and the "murders' row" Bama is facing. we keep feeding the kid the ball, time after time, there is no way he in he holds up.

I like Henry but he is not an every down back. He takes too long to get his speed up... which is why he does so well running around teams on sweeps.

Harris is the closest we have right now to an every down type back and he is 3rd string.

Drake needs to get the ball more in space which likely means he needs to at least split time at slot or WR. I don't think adding a Bo Scarborough is really going to be helpful right now. jmo

Bama waits long enough to let him carry the load, the team may lose one more time. Then, Henry can carry it all he wants, because it won't matter anymore. In fairness though, @rueben , Bama has been thin at RB. Long season if Henry carries thirty times a game.

Well Henry wants the ball more and against teams like Ole Miss, Georgia, LSU, and possible Texas A&M I say he needs to touch it 30 times. Teams we can over power like a Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Auburn we can spread it around more, but Henry is the only proven commodity we have, and until we figure our shit out on offense he needs to be the workhorse. He's waited two years for this opportunity and almost transferred early on, so I think you feed him as much as he can handle.

Our objective needs to be run run run in order to keep our defense off the field and limit possessions of the opponent. I feel as if we got away from that with Ole Miss and it gave them more and more chances against a tired defense that actually performed admirably based on the situations they were thrown in. These bubble screens simply aren't working and we get in a hurry up and punt the ball after taking less than a minute off the clock. I'm not a head coach, but that's obviously my two cents on the matter.

With all due respect, we had a considerable edge in both number of plays and time of possession versus Ole Miss. The stat that bit us was turnover margin.

Yep. With the exception of the O.S.K. we did not start will good field position, I do not believe Ol' Miss had one long sustained drive for a score. If it were not for the first couple of turnovers, we would not have been put in a position to commit the others.

Well I more or less meant the turnovers hurting our defense, but it seemed as if they had the ball a lot more than we did until the last few minutes where we shut them down and had a couple of chances to beat them. I could be wrong, but I would like to see the statistics for the first three quarters and see what they look like. Every time they had the ball they scored it seemed. Reminded me a lot of the Texas A&M game a few years back.

That would have nohing to do with the shit-ass commentators mentioning Jonny football every time Chad Kelly touched the ball, now would it???

I've been tempted to bring this subject up myself (in a bit of a different light than most are using.)

Two games have resulted in the majority of the complaints about "run the damn ball:" OSU and Ole Miss.

Both situations the Tide is playing from behind and trying to catch up on the scoreboard. The vast, VAST majority of the time you can't accomplish that by simply running the ball.

At least the two opposing groups viewpoints haven't devolved into a session of "hall sex."

But statistics show we can come from behind running the ball. Henry has been unstoppable in those two games you mentioned. More quiet against Ole Miss early on, but effective once their defense wore down. 5-8 yards a pop is better than no completions and interceptions if you ask me. With Sims there was confidence where he could complete a pass, but I don't feel that this year so far.

I made the comment to my Dad that, our turnovers changed the whole complexion of the game. Playing from behind, 14, 20,19 points at different points in the game took a lot of Derrick Henry out. Now with 3 minutes to go, I felt that BAMA should have utilized the run more in attempt to score with as little time as possible left on the clock. It didn't happen, so we move on. Hopefully, we don't have another game come down to a final drive and if it does, our OC thinks to put his throat on a gassed defense and as Saban says, "make their ass quit!"
