🏈 Billboard features Tennessee player knocking over Tide safety Robert Lester

A current Alabama football player is featured on a billboard advertising ticket sales - for the University of Tennessee. Senior Crimson Tide safety Robert Lester is shown on the receiving end of a block by UT offensive lineman Dallas Thomas, his body appearing to fly off the side of the billboard.

A smaller, cropped version of the image appears on the Tennessee ticket office website (you can see that image on the left).

Oddly enough, the block shown on the billboard may not have even actually happened. The image appears to be edited together from multiple photos, as both players are dressed in their home colors.

What do you think of Tennessee using an image of an Alabama player to help them sell tickets?

Just found this looking over their official athletic site. A great representative for the diving team, eh? Is the cannonball now an Olympic event?

Could it be the fact it is a block in the back?!!!
I didn't think of that. But now that you mention it that sort of makes my observation that much worse.

I was looking at our deep safety being blocked by their left tackle. If Lester has that much penetration? A guy we very seldom blitz?

It doesn't bode well.

I wasn't even looking at it that way. Normally, Robert is 12-15 yds deep every snap. So to have an interior lineman blocking him, spells DOOM for Tyler Bray and the Viles!

I ask you, Ladies and Gentlemen, have you ever seen Terryp and this guy

at the same place at the same time? I think not!! I'm on to you Pelman!

Not directly related to topic, but can anyone tell me why this rivalry has not switched to both teams using home jerseys?

If you think back about it you'll remember Kiffin tried to do that for their visit to Tuscaloosa. He was told no. Saban just having "fun" with Kiffin? I suspect it was.

Good eye catching both wearing home jersey's.

With there no longer being bad blood between the coaches, I have to think that the fact that it has not happened is because neither CNS onr CDD simply don't want it.

Both teams are so locked into traditions with respects to their uniforms that wearing home unis for this rivalry would be about the only way that they could joint the trend of doing something dramic with the dress.

I think that I would like to see it.

The thing that really makes me laugh is that they apparently didn't have any ACTUAL action shots from an Alabama-Tennessee game to use. They actually had to break out Photoshop for it.

Slightly off subject, but I was having lunch with a guy I do business with (he's a UT grad), and we got to talking about how both UT and Alabama were looking for this upcoming season. I brought up the question "is Dooley gonna make it?" - to his response about how he thinks that Dooley will be gone after this year and that they plan on coming after Kirby Smart.

Now, maybe I'm off base...but I kinda chuckled a little in my mind. I could be wrong, but I just don't see Kirby going to UT with the way that program is right now...that is, unless the money is just too much to turn down.

I have just always envisioned Kirby Smart ending up at UGA. I guess there's a chance he could get tired of waiting and jump at another opportunity, but I still think eventually he will end up at UGA.

That is a possibility. With Sal Sunseri already there the defense scheme would already be in place. UGA's schedule is saving Mark Richt more time; Dooley, this is a make or break season.

What makes anyone here think that Dave Hart is going to hire a guy with no head coaching experience?

Rumor Du Jour—and you can bet on this—is going to be Jon Gruden and the starting dollar figure will be 5MM.

To me, that's about as ludicrous as thinking Bobby Petrino ends up in Knoxville. What on earth leads people to think Dave Hart would make that move?

idk, Florida hired Muschamp.....

Yes, they did. But, with a lot of oversight on whom he had as assistants as well.

If we look at Dave Hart's track record, evidence points to him looking for a proven head coach.

All that said, I don't think UT is going to be looking for a head coach after this season.
