About two hours outside of Memphis. Need my RollTideBama family to help me with the best BBQ place to eat at with the family on our way home. Suggestions?
Dry or wet?
The answer is Corky's.
Oh, Marlowe's is pretty good too...down there close to Graceland.
Yep...solid all the way around. I used to work in the Clark Tower (high rise across the street from Corky's) and I ate there several times a week...loved their hot turkey subs!Went to Corky's and got the wet ones. Pretty solid. Happy with my choice.
I know the two guys who started that place...Craig and (can't think of his name this morning.) They started back in the mid to late 90's at Memphis in May events before they went "retail."Central BBQ
Central, or Corky's?Always bypass it.. don’t want to get mugged or shot
Just a little more tounge and cheek from me this morning..Central, or Corky's?
Mid-town in Memphis isn't that bad. Granted, I was staying at the French Quarter on Madison the last time I was there but it IS deep in the heart of mid-town Memphis.
Two things I won't order from a restaurant.Just a little more tounge and cheek from me this morning..
Always hear beef tounge was good.. Heard a properly prepared beaver tail was great…and a chef could make a sewer rat taste like pumpkin pie à la mode.. things Ive never triedTwo things I won't order from a restaurant.
You mean soap, with a washcloth, in a shower?Heard a properly prepared beaver tail was great
No actual beaver tail.. I heard it was good as a steak… a friend said he actually ate some..they are hard to find… and sink quickly if you shoot one..You mean soap, with a washcloth, in a shower?
I've eaten at a lot of different places in my life and I can't remember ever seeing it on a menu.No actual beaver tail.. I heard it was good as a steak… a friend said he actually ate some..they are hard to find… and sink quickly if you shoot one..
Yep, I downshift and keep on moving.Always bypass it.. don’t want to get mugged or shot
I have a friend that searches the world for Wild Game cook offs.. he will pay $20 to $50 a ticket for him and his wife… They will go in and sample all you can eat wild game tables… They have every wild animal based food you can think of..I've eaten at a lot of different places in my life and I can't remember ever seeing it on a menu.
** I just asked the housekeeper if she'd every had the dish...she said she's had a "Beaver Tail Pastry."
That isn't doing the idea any favors ...
Beef tongue is really good. Best prepared like a Boston butt. It’s got the texture of a pulled pork, with a better taste…Always hear beef tounge was good.. Heard a properly prepared beaver tail was great…and a chef could make a sewer rat taste like pumpkin pie à la mode.. things Ive never tried
You guys ever had Lengua taco's.Beef tongue is really good. Best prepared like a Boston butt. It’s got the texture of a pulled pork, with a better taste…
Sounds like a sexual position I'm not limber enough, or too limber, to pull off anymore. You guys ever had Lengua taco's.
El Azadors in Pensacola does the lingua tacos, tortas, quesadillas etc……You guys ever had Lengua taco's.
Got a friend in B'ham that owns a Messican Restaurant and will make them from time to time. It took some gumption for me to try them, but I really do like them.
