Does anyone know if they will make one like last year. I'm trying to get a timeframe on when and if they would be released so I can send it to my buddy over in Afganistan.

I hope it is better quality then the the one from last year, I haven't seen it, but her horror stories so didn't buy it, got the Itunes version instead, besides i owe the winner from the Yahoo College pick'em, whom I think was 252Bama
It was worse than a VHS copy off TV; colors were badly mutted and the digital compression was horrible with break-up galore. However, the '09 Bama/Texas blu ray is great. Definitely going to wait on reviews this time before purchasing even the blu ray.... which won't mean anything if the source material is crap like it was last year. Hoping that won't be the case. Until then I have it recorded on my DVR to watch at my leisure.

Was it the DVD through the university/bcs site? I know some bought off eBay and they may have been copies. I ask because I was planning on going back and buying all three bcscg DVDs and the two secco DVDs.

No it was the legit, factory released DVD as sold everywhere from the University to Amazon.com.
Here are some screen grabs off my Sony Bravia 42" inch. I think the pics speak for themselves.
LONG SHOT: FIELD. Notice the compression and break-up that halos the players. If you think this is bad... it'll be even more noticeable on your TV, in-person. To give you a better idea...
.... let's zoom (with my camera) in to really show you what you get....
Yikes!!
MEDIUM SHOT. Equally horrible. Look at the digital break up on the scroll bar in the background, and around Brad.
And closer inspection.... really reveals the quality.
So... hey bro... it's your cashola, but for a DVD... this is pathetic IMO. And I don't think there's a blu ray release of this BCS.
