🏈 Baylor starting QB Seth Russell out for season

The injury occurred when Russell pushed forward on a 4-yard run with 5:36 left in the fourth quarter. 45-27 Him being the 1st string still in the game. By the way, the first game this year under 50 points.

We ran Henry with like two minutes left in a game we were up almost three touchdowns on their side of the field. Putting him over 30 carries.

Still a 2 possession game. You really dont want your QB having to make that run play but hey thats their offense and if it can happen on that play, then it can happen on any play. Thats the risk you run playing that offense. Thats also why If Colt Would Have Played, was complete b.s. Its the same mind set that Saban has leaving top players as kick returners and players like Henry playing punt team.

3 position game, unless you can score a TD and go for 3 instead of 2! @BlackPawnMartyr

I know the Stidham kid can sling it around the field and can run. I believe we were really high on him for a time. Problem is, a true freshman will be taking the reigns from the word go and not getting back up or garbage reps up by 30!

That makes the rest of the Big 12 season look even more interesting. Three teams still unbeaten, and OU, strange as it seems, still can win the league by running the table. Lots of good matchups in November, and due to the unfortunate injury, Baylor will likely come back to the rest of the league.

Jarrett Stidham can sling the ball.
He's in the same position today as Seth Russell was in 2012: a true frosh getting clean-up snaps.

People like to point to Baylor as a "system QB" type offense ... which is largely true. It's just as important to note guys like Russell (in his third year of action) are following the same script as guys like Bryce Petty.
