Agree with the "he needs to prove it" by producing on the field. People just can't be patient and give kids time like they need. Kid has to learn and develop some. Not many freshman that come in and perform at the level required to be a starter at Bama. Not even Tua did it until THE game...

Why throw on the onus on Dave when it was Shula?

Maybe a combination of both.... But bama was talent light....
Make anybody look weak...

It was Shula. His offense. He called the plays. He coached the QB. In a sense DR was a lot like Applewhite: he served in more of an observational role. It was Shula's staffing decisions as well; it gave us Con (in both senses of the word.)

Ok...but Shula did get thrust into the position...and had no spring practice...it was tough situation...a few of his top players...ummm...
And when Brodie got hurt...things went to hell for sure

Mal gave him as much help as he could....

But if Price succeeded....probably been no Saban....
