🏀 🏀 🏆 NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament Games - Houston vs Florida for the title.

Well that game was intense. Ending was anticlimactic.

That defense was unreal, so I wouldn't consider that anticlimactic. As a coach, you couldn't be more proud with that stand when it mattered.

I also want to acknowledge the awareness of Houston's player that realized he lost his dribble and tried to box out. I'm thinking maybe three out of a hundred high level D-1 players have that awareness.

Also want to add, it's refreshing to see the excitement on these guys. Those guys are pumped and you love to see that in this day and age.

Florida's second half adjustments were out of this world good. Been that way all season. They worked us in both games this season in the second half.

But I do think Houston's backcourt just completely melted when the momentum shifted and Florida tightened up around the 3. Honestly they just seemed fatigued. Some of Houston's offensive sets near the end were pretty bad though. A lot of that is due to Florida's ball screen D and how they swarm loose balls. But lawd get a shot up at least.

Walter Clayton Jr. didn't have his best game, but still reached double digits in the second half. He sat for an extended period, Florida clawed back, and then he just pounced on every opportunity he could

I do not know who the defensive coach is for Houston but CNO needs to hire him for Bama. Those young men, flat out play defense. UF did not play well until late in the second half but a win is a win. Glad a SEC team won.

I agree. That's why I felt it was an amazing game, all of those points in one game are a lot of "swings" and the defense still never truly seemed to give up on either side.
