Been a fun season though. Really good team. Talented enough to win a championship, but will ultimately fall short due to consistency issues and I think poor leadership. But at the bare minimum, Alabama made another Elite 8 run coming off of last season's Final Four. Successful season regardless of how it ended. Oats is showing he can have success in March. The win at auburn will forever be one of my favorite wins.

Hard to beat a team when shooting poorly, really hard to beat a good team when they are shooting at a high clip and you are shooting at one of your worst performances of the year.

For all the bemoaning everyone is doing in this thread, it just boils down to the fact that we did not hit our shots today and Duke was above average.

Turnovers, missed inside shots, free throws, lack of ball movement and not defending in transition pretty much sums it up. Duke is the better team tonight and better coached with adjustments.

Hopefully, Reid stays and gets another year of experience and gets 100% healthy. Stevenson MUST put on muscle. We desperately need a big that can defend around the rim. Philon is very talented but plays so out of control, probably gone based on potential. Sherrell just needs time for his skills to catch up with his body. Holloway can shoot and handle the ball but makes dumb fouls bc he cannot defend. Mollette and Wrightsell will help with guard play if they both recover from injuries. Dioubate rebounds well and plays defense but needs some improvement in ball handling and outside shooting. Lots of talent coming back.

We really need to land at least one big in the portal. We have had a good year to get to the Elite Eight. It’s much better than hoping we would make the dance or win a game or two in the NIT.

Ultimately what I felt was going to happen tonight, but an Elite 8 appearance is so much more fun than not making the dance or getting bounced in the first or second round.

This team was frustrating at times, but we had some highs and some lows, but they continue to make us proud by being competitive and giving us a late season push. Looking forward to what Oats can pull next with Sears, Nelson, and Philon being gone. Proud of this team, this class, and the last number of years of what they have accomplished. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

Playing duke was an awful match up for Bama. Duke and Florida were the two teams I worried about for Bama in this tournament. Hoped we got a chance at Florida, obviously because that would have meant a NC game……but, really not surprised. Duke is well coached, big, can play to many different strengths and has that factor of being Duke. I almost feel like the lights were too bright tonight for our guys.

Good season. Sucks to get blown out, but whatever. Could be worst. Could be in the middle of a 5 game iron bowl losing streak………

Cliff didn't play for the final 10 minutes I don't think. He was a very underwhelming player at 5. Didn't do well protecting the rim.
