It's more than just Sears too. Cliff hasn't done jack shit tonight and he has been an underwhelming all season from what we want from a rim protector. Youngblood and Nelson missed critical shots to cut into the lead when Duke was on a scoring drought. Missed open 3s by everyone.

But Sears ultimately killed any chance tonight Alabama could have had. Awful play from a veteran. Just the last three possessions alone could have made this game interesting. Instead he missed a FT and had three turnovers. Killed the team.

We are an Elite 8 team, not a Final 4 team this year. Heck, often throughout the year we don’t think we’d be an Elite 8 team, so we can’t complain. Duke is a better team all around, Auburn is better this year, Florida is better, Tennessee is better, Michigan State is probably better. We’d struggle with Michigan and their big guys.
