Someone got me somewhere, somehow. I still don't know. It's funny with that card to be honest with you. I looked over the charges for the last several months and it's Walmart, or Home Depot, or Lowe's, or Publix, or Harris Teeter. All, legit places of business, right? Except...
Found out while talking with them there was another charge for an auto warranty on a Toyota (2003) I have. I rarely drive the vehicle. Hell, it has 136K on the odometer. I told the lady on the phone at BOA, "it's an '03, how the hell does anyone spend $90 a month on a warranty for an '03? Especially, when I do the vast majority of the work myself?!?!"
Literally, while on the phone..."do you see that charge at Home Depot? That was oil for an oil change. It was on sale. I'm going to pay a warranty on a car ... that I only have liability on because of how infrequently it is driven?"
MAPCO, METCO, something like that...
Tim used the word "disciplined" with his comment. I'm using the word "anal." I'm that way with my CC's. I rarely take them anywhere unless I haven't moved money to my ATM account. I literally keep my CC's, my checkbook, etc. all in a locked firebox. That's what I told the lady at BOA...there's no way anyone could have gotten their physical hands on the cards. Only one person has the key to that box...
In the end, no real harm other than the hassle of getting a new card, etc. The biggest thing that bothers me is "how."
