| MBB/WBB Bama vs. Purdue - Hall of Fame Series in Toronto (Saturday - 12:30 - FOX)

Officiating aside (which has been completely one-sided), Oats refusing to call timeouts is a huge issue in his tenure here. He allows teams to get comfortable and go on runs, while not doing any adjustments defensively.

That's not what he wants though, to stop. He's go go go no matter what. To be fair to our guys, the officiating is an issue against Edey. They are acting like the media and fiving him the benefit of the doubt just because of his profile, not because of what he's earned.

I'm unsure what the plan was, just let them score a ton and hope we can outscore them? Our defense is god awful this year, I honestly had some hope thinking we were a deeper team this year but not a single big game has the depth scoring shown up at all.

Well if we do play with today's intensity, we'll be a tough team for anyone to beat. Problem is right now is that Oregon and Indiana State are our only two decent wins. I'm worried if we don't beat Creighton or Arizona, we'll be in trouble when it comes to making the tournament.

This isn't the best assembled roster IMO. But we can't blame Oats or the staff, as they were caught off guard when Bediako and Quinerly left.

Agree with this for sure. Effort for the full game was the best it has been all year. Team shows they have the ability to do it although in the end it is still a loss and when you give up 90 points it usually will be.

On the three game stretch we are in, I said we would be fortnuate to steal one of the games with this team. It looked good early in the 2nd half but then the offense went cold and we allowed them to go on a run and take the lead. We kept battling. Starting the SEC play we will likely be 6-5.

Our bigs did all they could do given the circumstance. Would have been an interesting game had Bedioke came back.

Hard to stop 7’4” 300lbs and even tougher when stripes allow 4-5 steps each time he touches the ball. You have to pick your poison. Let big man get his points and focus on stopping their outside game or try and stop him. This group will be better in the long run with this loss. They played with a lot of fire, intensity, and emotion.

Yeah if they had a few more stops on their guard they could have won this game.

I’m not a big BB fan but I’m a Bama BB fan who’s obviously way out of the loop. Where did the go … transfer or NBA?

If those two had stayed it would be everything we’re missing in my opinion.
