Who thinks that we are going to get our ass handed to us against the whos? At this moment in time I don't know what to think. Before the tenn. game I thought our defense was pretty damn good. During the Ga. game I thought our O was turning the corner. Now? I don't freakin' know. We haven't played a full four qtrs yet. At least we can get a little rest and healing. What is up with CamRob? He is getting his ass kicked. Help me put some sense to this madness we call Alabama Football.

Your negative opinion says a lot. LSU isn't a perfect team and they have a number of shortcomings. While Alabama hasn't played perfectly, they are improving and the remaining shortcomings can be fixed. Alabama has a week off to rest and plan. The upcoming week will be focused on fundamentals. Playing at home will be a huge plus. Small things can make a big impact - plus and minus. Alabama just needs to fix the small things.

I can't see CBS passing on this game. Could this day be a CBS double header?

Most definitely, CBS announced prior to the season starting that 11/7 was a doubleheader day. 2:30pm and 7pm. If I had to guess, it's going to be Arkansas @ Ole Miss for the 2:30pm slot.

There are some other good games on as well the weekend of 11/7 that will help decide the top 10 even more. I could see Okie State slipping up in Lubbock the weekend prior though.

TCU @ Okie State (both currently undefeated, TCU plays Thursday prior at WVU, Okie State plays @ Texas Tech Saturday)
FSU @ Clemson

It may seem there is a negative slant not an opinion, I honestly wanted others opinion, hence the fucking question. If I didn't know any better I would think you're a woolyaler. I do tend to be a little on the pessimistic side. I have seen improvement but if you're honest with yourself, you can see there has not been consistent improvement. Also, the O line has not performed well consistently.

Honestly, LSU hasn't really played anyone at this point other than Florida (I'm almost laughing out loud when I say that). They've played Miss State, Auburn, and South Carolina from the SEC). Which means they still have Bama, TAMU, Ole Miss, and Arkansas left.

Having said that, look at these numbers based on who they've played.

I, like you, would like to see more improvement than there has been. But positive improvement, big or small, is better than none. Right now, even after yesterday's game, I see a very close game against LSU. The only area where I see a distinct advantage for LSU is their running game consistency. Is that Fornette, their line play or both? But, who has that running game consistency been against? I don't think our thoughts are too far apart, but I seem to have a more positive opinion/belief/outlook than you.

Not sure what being a woolyaler has to do with anything. I pissed a lot of them off, too.

LSU's Harris is going to be harassed all night long by our DL. Harris isn't nearly as talented as Dobbs in my opinion, LSU isn't built to run the option either. We'll stop their running game, I'm sure Fournette will piss me off a few times with some big runs.

Look at what Alabama did to Tenn in the 2nd half. 27 of their 131 (if I counted correctly) rushing yards were in the 2nd half. Those 2 sacks on Josh Dobbs in Tenn's last drive resulted in -19 yds rushing. Dobbs had 16 rushes for 59 yds, but the sacks took away 40 yds.

Here is a look at the 13 rushing plays by Tennessee in the 2nd half, the name and then yds per rush (via http://www.rolltide.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/2015-2016/08ua-ut.html)
QB Dobbs 4, 9, -2, -9, -10
RB Hurd 1, 7, 2, 2, 12, 1
RB Kamara 7, 2

I knew Tenn was going to come out with everything they had, I didn't think they'd sustain it. The key was weathering the storm in the first half. I think Alabama was playing on Altee emotion, dead legged, and just flat out not executing. But perhaps I'm making excuses...

FWIW everybody has their opinion about why we aren't like a well oiled machine. Mine is still somewhat optimistic because our defense has kept us in the running the whole year. Defense actually wins championships. I believe that is why CNS has not added other running backs like Bo to the mix yet. Why repaint your tank when you are running just fine in the mud and dodging mortars. Yea it might break down when you don't want it to but as long as it is planting their asses long enough to stop them then keep the squeaky contraption running. Maybe with two weeks off, he will polish it and grease the treads enough to finish. He will finish because this team doesn't have a moment of quit even when the momentum changes.

Think about teams that allow other teams to score 40 or more points a game and they win because they score 60. If you stop them to under 20 points with defense and your keystone cops offense can score a measly 21 points you still win the game. That's the BAMA I know and love

I think we cave in their grills. I feel better about that game than I did about Uga Arkansas or Ole siss. Lsu has defensive problems and qb problems. If alabama plays a b+ game it's a 17 point win.

We look pretty evenly matched based on those numbers. Unless my 2 beers have clouded my ability to read statistics.
