what I just read said that they are not planning to trade Julio or Ryan, and both want to stay there. The GM thinks they can win with the players they have and he doesn't want to have a firesale. Plus, the salary cap hit would be tremendous if they traded either of them.

Not sure how that is possible. They fired the GM and have not replaced him yet.

The core group they have on offense will be attractive to potential GM's though, so they at least have that going for them. They are much better than their record reflects. Supposedly there are a couple of guys in the Seahawks front office that are hot names right as soon-to-be GM's. I don't follow the Falcons close at all, but Blank kinda strikes me as the type that will spare no expense in getting who he wants. I'd bet he really, really wants to hold a Lombardi Trophy before his time is up...

Yes, he'll do anything to get his hands on one. He's humble and very loyal, but deep down I know he wants that trophy. He built Home Depot, won a Championship with Atlanta United, and I know that Super Bowl ring is the cherry on top.

Sorry, I meant "acting GM". I couldn't think of Rich McKay's name when I wrote that, but he's President & CEO, and ACTING GM for now. I'd say if the president & CEO of the team says it, then you have to believe that's what he's thinking. Honestly, they could have and probably should have won every game they have played so far.

Julio bumped Amari out by 1 yard last night. 3 out of top 6 is insane. Wider Receiver U?

Did you guys see the ESPN story yesterday on how Day has made Ohio State QB U? LOL I didn’t read it, didn’t want to pad the reader stats. But seriously? Are they pointing to Haskins who can’t even start for the Skins? I don’t really see another data point. Fields has played 1 season.

It wasn't a particularly impressive showing but Tua got his first TD (and more importantly, first win) today with the Dolphins.

Pretty ugly game. Strip sack on his first drop back. But he’ll get better. Hasn’t played real ball in a long time. He won’t challenge Burrows or the Oregon kid for rookie QB of the year, but I believe he’ll get there.
