🏈 Bama-Florida III

Is there any doubt that these two teams can make it to Atlanta again next year? For me, Florida is the team that seems to have the easier route, as most of their competition in the East just seems pitiful. Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee, all three should be sure wins. Only South Carolina, in my mind, could provide a real scare. Of course UGA will think they have a chance, but unless they find some defense, I don't see it.

The only thing that keeps Fla out of Atlanta is a loss to UGA or SC, and then the loss to Bama in the regular season, combined with another SEC West upset by LSWho or someone else.

For us, Bama is it's own enemy. We can beat anyone we take the field against, and should do so. But what are the odds of a third straight undefeated regular season, in the SEC? Seems like an upset is likely, just due to odds.

Me? I got Bama vs. Fla again in December.

I agree, our destiny is in our own hands. We have the most talented players and the best coach, We just have to not be complacent at all.

I know that there is a lot of football to be played between now and then, for sure. There are some road games that are just going to be grinders. At LSU. At Tennessee, who is going to stink to high heavens, but will play us a tight game for a while, based on last year's emotional loss. I'm not worried about losing to Duke on the road, but that's the week after Penn State, and the first road game, and we might be playing tight, and D. Cutcliffe loves to play his alma mater.

For Florida, the prospect of a road game at Bama must be stomach turning. After that whipping they got back in December, they will either be super motivated, or will roll over and die. Not sure which. Hard to read that team this year.

But I think both UA and UF get back to Atlanta, each with possibly one loss on the resume, and maybe one of the 2 having 2 or more losses. My lean for the National Champ this year is Boise or Ohio State, or Alabama to repeat.

I'm having a hard time getting over two concerns.

First is reconciling all those years of standing on my insistance that a full SEC schedule ain't no joke. Just look at how long its been since another team has gone two straight years unbeaten like the Tide has.

Second is six opponent with two weeks to scheme for us.

If Bama runs the table, this three year stretch would be among the best played in the history of the SEC.

call me crazy, but i think Soco is the only team in the east with a chance to beat Fla this year. but don't forget fla has to play missy state which they seem to have a problem with in recent years and LSU which is anybody's guess as to how good/bad they might be. i don't think florida will go undefeated in the regular season by any means... someone will beat them before we do in ATL.
