I'm in assuming my Clemson Iptay friend can hook me up, if not the scalpers are my friend!

Tim, you should look into taking South Cobb to Chattahoochee Ave in getting to the dome!

Oh yeah, I may just roll down Atlanta Road. I'm only about 10 minutes from Marietta square. RollTideinGA, I wouldn't go that far down 75. The weekend construction on 75 South should have everything bottlenecked well before then.

How do I get there from Atlanta Rd? I sometimes take Atlanta Rd to head home from the Vinnings area.

I'll be staying with Family in Buford and plan on driving in early Sat afternoon. Any of you guys from the area have any suggestions about parking and the best way to get there?

I will be heading up to the game. My first game in the GA Dome. I am really looking forward to a Bama win.

Basically just take Atlanta Rd south, it turns into Mariette Blvd which feeds into Northside Dr right north of the dome area. I can drive it, but have a hard time giving directions. The way they are talking, 75 may be backed up coming into the city as far back as the river!

My dad and I are going for sure. We he owned a house in douglasville forever, sold it and now we play at the dome......dang why couldnt we hold on to it for a little longer.

Anyway, ill be there....im fired up......BTW, are we wearing white or crimson?

I wouldn't doubt. Take these travel/traffic warnings seriously. A few weeks ago it took me 3 hours to get from Gwinnett down to a Braves game. 3 hours! Ever since then me and *DOT are tight.

Another reason I avoid downtown if at all possible.

Coming in on I-20 From B-Ham, with all the construction going on what exit would yall recommend taking to get to the airport. We are staying at the Drury Inn close to the Airport and taking Marta to the Dome. Any help would be appreciated.

I would think taking I-285 south would be fine, but if you have any backup near the perimeter I would take Thornton Road exit 44 and turn right. Thornton eventually becomes Camp Creek Parkway and it's a straight shot to the airport. I don't know where the Drury Inn is, but Camp Creek crosses I-285 and I-85 just before the airport. If your directions the Drury involve either of those, you should be fine.

When are you coming in? That would be the key factor in which way to go.

The Drury Inn is on Virginia Ave. right near the Delta campus. Virginia is right off I-85 which can be assessed by I-285 from B'ham like Tim was saying.

We are coming in Saturday afternoon around 2 or 3.

So from I-20 i should take I-285 to I-85 then take Virginia Ave. to Drury Inn?

Yikes, I suggest having *DOT in your cell phone. I haven't gone the way Tim suggested (Thornton Rd.) but you might want to consider it. When you get into the state of GA you might want to call *DOT and ask them about traffic on 20 into ATL as well as 285 then 85 toward airport. You can talk to a real person and get very detailed info.

If there is a back-up when you call you have time to start looking for Thornton Rd. Tim says Thornton turns into Camp Creek. Camp Creek will cross 85 right at airport. You'll think you're headed into airport but it will give you an I-85N option. You then take 85N and immeidately start looking for Virginia Ave. I think it's your 2nd exit.
