🏈 Bama-Arkansas predict the score

31 - 24 Hogs

Nothing against you exactly, but a lot of the fans here think one of the teams is going to get into the 30s this game-- whether it be with your prediction of the Hawgs or some of our fans thinking Bama will put up an upper 30s number-- I just don't see Bama scoring MORE than they did against Penn State against an SEC defense nor do I see Arky putting up that either when they only got to 38 against the powerhouse Troy team...

B/c I'm on the good guy's side, I'll talk in Bama terms, I mean, we play BORING football, there is NOTHING exciting about the way we play football (except for the second half of North Texas) I mean this in the nicest way possible but I just can't see either team putting up a 30 spot

Turnovers....

I mentioned Polycarp as the disciple of John, nothing more, however we have writings where Polycarp and Irenaeus refer to the office of both Presbyter and Bishop, and as they were both active in the church during the second century while John the Apostle was still living, the argument against those offices loses merit.

No one with a MDiv would argue that there is no basis for the office of Pastor in the Bible. Sorry - that doesn't hold water...unless perhaps you got a certificate via mail from some paper mill. I could believe that. The earned MDiv is a very advanced ministry degree requiring, as a rule, between 76 and 98 hours of master's level course work, including extensive work in exegesis, Hermeneutics, and biblical languages.

The only reference I made was to Reverend as your user name, because between your alcohol references and your aggressive and personal insult laced tirades, the question was begged. You took the thread off track by trying to discredit the office of pastor...and the logical assumption was that you read my profile. I will stay off of logic though...if I went in that direction I would be nailing you for more fallacies in your arguments than I care to detail, from ad hominem to assertion and everything in-between.

Good luck with the funeral. That is an area of ministry I have had a lot of experience...and probably the most rewarding, short of death-bed conversions.

ok, I am gonna try this one last time.... Show me where i have used an insult tirade? Please point this out in specific detail? As for alcohol... I do believe the first miracle Jesus performed was water to wine... and why was it such an unbelievable thing for the wine he created to be served later.. because usually the lesser quality of wine was served after the participants in the wedding party had become intoxicated....
When the steward of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, "Every man serves the good wine first; and when men have drunk freely, then the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now." (John 2:9-10

as for discrediting the office of an elder, presbyter, bishop, etc... I absolutely did NOT... i even gave where in the scripture that the qualifications were given. However, anyone using the name pastor, bishop, elder that does not meet those qualifications is a farce in my book from study of the Bible alone... Not that of man!

thanks for the evidently very difficult kindness shown concerning the preparation for the funeral. Perhaps we are getting somewhere, but somehow I doubt it.

Now that you have personally attempted to discredit me on every level and accused me of things I do not believe to be true I will attempt to respond with respect, although I as a guest on this board have been offered none from you at all.

Let us be honest ... shall we?. You began your posting on this board with the very insulting tirade against all razorback, piggie, etc. fans. Of which I took at first very funny... And i can again honestly say that i have never met online or elsewhere a more arrogant pompous individual of any team ever than you!

after attempting to get you to acknowledge that not all of us are of the Ilk you painted us with. You pull the shades on your arrogance by attacking elsewhere. It must be a existence of enjoying the belittling of others that keeps you on the religious high horse you are currently riding. Now please... for the sake of anyone whom either one of us may have offended, grab a glass of fine win, relax.... breath and enjoy life a bit... be thankful that both of us has a God who love us more than either of us cares for each other.... WPS!

Rev, the more detailed posts on your deep conversations - it's all Greek to me - have been moved to the Fark Zone under the "Crimson Crusades..." thread. For continuity's sake, you can keep it going over there.

RTR,

Tim
thanks... exactly what needed to be done, feel free to move my last reply... as it is most likely my last reply....

Now to the scores... I feel the same today as yesterday... Nothing has changed!

As for the subject of the thread... I agree with the one above... How can anyone believe that the Hawgs could score in the 30's against a Saban Defense....

You know me and stats Rev.

Since Saban has been at Bama, only three teams have scored over 30 points against our defense out of 56 games. That gives Arkansas, based on history, less than a 1% chance of breaking the 30 point mark. Two of those three games ended up with Bama winning.

Let me throw something else at ya...

Do you think your defense will be able to keep one of our running backs from breaking the 100 yard mark rushing?

If you don't, chew on this for a bit. Saban coached Bama teams have lost one game—out of 28— where we've had a back break the century mark.

So you're saying there's a chance.... YES!! :hyper:

Expect a lot more of this Saturday :td:

http://www.arkansassports360.com/26743/3-and-out-wilson-needs-better-protection-bequette-still-under-evaluation

“He’s taking too many hits right now,” running back Ronnie Wingo said. “We’ve just got to protect him, protect him more this week."Arkansas has allowed Wilson to be sacked six times and that total doesn’t include the hits sustained when he’s been on the run, like the helmet-to-helmet hit that left him with “concussion-like” symptoms in Week 2.

Coach Bobby Petrino sees a number of areas where protection can improve. Offensive line play needs to get better, but Wilson’s decision making — when to get rid of the ball and when to run — leaves room for improvement.

“It’s everybody’s responsibility to make sure we keep the quarterback clean,” Petrino said.

i am somewhat surprised that most of you folks do not respect the offensive power of our team... I would be extremely shocked to see my Hawgs held to 10 points...

If the D at Bama can do that, I will change my Avitar on this board to a bama avitar of Terry's Choosing for a month.

Just don't see it...

I'd agree, although history states you won't score over 20.

I hope you do stick around, no matter the final outcome.

That being said, it's not a matter of disrespecting the Arkansas offense as much as it is a matter of me buying into our defense. I think Tyler may become more effective in his future career at Arkansas but this being his first road game in a less-than-friendly environment will have its effects. I believe as good as your receivers are, I believe our secondary matches up VERY well. In the end, if the final score is 35-28, I will remain satisfied that we were able to win against a very capable Arkansas team.
