🏈 Bama-Arkansas predict the score

Well.... I said i would predict soon.... Here it is, althought this could change if injury news comes out on either side, etc....

21/31 Bama....

Damn that hurt, But realistically our O line is simply too pourous, our D scheme under Willy R is now being questioned by myself... and others.

I still believe we have the best coach we have had since Frank Broyles, and that with better recruiting we would even be more competitive.. But Your secondary is pretty tight as well.

Ok, Bammy fans... Respectfully put, I hope I am wrong.... and I do think we have been as competitive as anyone against you (other than the Scam $$$$ train) so i hope you in the least respect that... WPS!

There it is...the day 2 smugness...not yet willing to predict a win, but still brazen enough to call us "Bammy," instead of Bama, Alabama, Tide, etc.

Arkansas didn't hit 21 last year with Mallett and our young defense. I have my doubts they will hit double digits...but I am giving them the benefit of a doubt in my prediction.

Dude, are you on meds??? If not, attempt to get to know a Psych doc quickly please. I only said "Bammy" because or your continual use of "Piggys" etc... All in good fun. and yet I predict a Hawgs loss....

Ok, enough of responding to the likes of you... Terry P has class... as do most other... C Ya!

Rev, play around. He's a good guy. Passionate, ya know? About like ronhmany...something like that. Or Sas...

Arkansas does however return all 4 WR's, who happen to all be on the biletnikoff watch list. Im pretty sure we put up 357 yards through the air on that secondary also.

Alabama scored 24 last year, but only return 110 yards of that production back. I have still yet to see a logical reason you believe Alabama is capable of putting up 39 points of Offense when you could barely put up 24 last year and lost all of your talent besides Richardson.

hmmm, alrighty then...

Thanks Terry P. He was coming off fairly boring and one dimensional with his antics. Hardly intellectual enough to cause reflection, more or less intonation... But... here we go then.

Bama's Running D will stuff our Run Game. If Knile were not injured, this might be a different story. But KNile is gone, and Dennis Johnson is not in Sync to cause much disruption at all. He still runs tentative because of suffering a horrible Bowel injury last season, huge scar and all... Kinda gets into the Psych of a kid. Wingo is great in the open, but will not hit any hole hard... (no sex jokes please)... So Advantage.. Bama's Run D...

Since the Hawgs will wind up one dimensional by the 2nd quarter, Bllitz patterns will continue all day after Wilson. Wilson will attempt to nickle and dime with short slants, and middle crosses only to be knocked to the dirt no less that 8 times... The Offensive line is young, and unbalanced... Unbalanced you might ask? the weight differential and size from one side to the next is off ... Problems will insue. But there will be some points on some quick jukes by Adams, Wright, hamilton, and perhaps Childs will get his Hands back as well...But then again, the Back D of Bama is also stout. So... Advantage... EVEN

Bama's O against our D... I would have said prior to the last game that our D will hold your O to less than 18 points... But, With Willy R. still being in charge and not blitzing the hell outta Troy like any armchair D Cord in america could tell was working. I see Lacy?sp... and Richardson running fairly well.. We have decent Corners and Safeties... Problem is technique... TURN UR DAMN HEADS AND LOOK FOR THE BALL... there will be a pass I called on us a time or two because of this... Advantage BAMA

Special teams... I will not go into detail to breat this down completely for lack of time... But with Joe Adams, Wade, Johnson, returning kickoffs and punt returns... KICK AWAY...> BABY KICK AWAY!!!!.. Advantage... Hawgs.

Game Advantage... BAMA.... 21/31.... as you can see, I did not arrive at this boring drivel by setting back, popping cold ones, spitting snuff, and swatting flies from my trailerpark, I am not your crazy old uncle freaking eddy from ARKY.... Nor am I your buckedtooth Aunt Lucy from Mobile.... Although if they do get together, consumate, and bear a litter of elephant piggies.. I am staying as far the Eff away as possible... Damn, just damn!

I'm bummed that Arkansas isn't coming into the game fully loaded so to speak - would have preferred to see how well our run D does against him this year - he didn't get a lot of playing time against bama iirc.

when it mattered, arkansas threw INT's iirc. Cam Newton is putting up impressive stats in the NFL right now, but I'd imagine he'd rather have a win versus 400yd games....just saying.

AGREE on both fronts...

There are some cat and mouse thing sgoing on coaching wise. Rev, I saw a thread on your board where Petrino said he hadn't "unleashed the defense". As was noted in another thread on this board we haven't used the wildcat or the pistol on offense. Both teams haven't shown all that they have yet.

I think we take the running game away early, and sit on the short and intermediate routes. Wilson can go deep, given time, and the receiver group has big play capability. I think our aggressiveness on defense gets us burned for a couple of big plays.

If our offensive line play had not been sporadic i would feel comfortable about this game early on, but there have been some glaring missed assignments. Still, they have gotten a bit better each week, and we should be able to run effectively. With Maze and or Hanks singled up we will have some big plays in the passing game.

Arkansas has a brilliant kick returner in Adams, while our kick coverage has been exceptional so far. That will be an interesting test. On our return side Maze is pretty exciting as well.

I think we are deeper and as I said in my prediction we will take charge in the 4th.

I would have to agree, its definately all about W's and L's at the end of the day.

Reverend I tend to agree with the majority of your post, but I still remain optimistic that we have alot of blitz packages that we haven't shown yet. There has to be a reason to continually run a 3 man pass rush man up coverage for 90% of the game; the 4 times we did bring pressure the qb threw the ball into the dirt.

On the other hand im sure there are plenty of exotic looks that Alabama defense hasn't shown, and quite frankly they haven't needed to show.

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">Ah so you want to make this a question of intellectual worthiness and take it personal? What does Reverend in our name mean? You capitalize it, which carries the implication that it is titular in use, rather than serving as adjective. In that case the assumption is that you serve as a minister of the Gospel (if that is not the case you should remove it)...yet you jump to personal attacks. I quit posting on internet forums because it is so easy to be drawn into conflicts, however I never attack a person directly. I might make a general characterization of a fan base, and in the case of Arkansas it is well earned. Arkansas fans are rabid to the point of delusional. My mother was from the Fort Smith area and half of my relatives are from there. I grew up in Alabama and live in Springfield Missouri where I come into contact with your ilk regularly. I am only posting this week because it is Arkansas week, and the Bama message boards need reinforcements against the onslaught of pork that is to come.

You are acting like a horses' backside right now, actually...welcome to Monday Afternoon of my gameweek post. "How dare Bama fans think that their team is good enough to beat the hogs by X points." It happens every year. By Saturday you and your hog brethren will be foaming at the mouth and predicting you will win by blowout.

You wan't to know what is going to happen in the game?

You have no running game and a third rate offensive line, and will be facing a defense that absolutely demolishes offenses that are one dimensional. With no serious running threat, the Alabama defense will be able to key on the pass. He won't have time to throw the ball and with 102,000 screaming fans he won't be able to hear and make checks. He is walking into a living nightmare. The Bama defense gets a ton of pressure on the QB, and your OL couldn't slow down the pass rush of New Mexico - even Troy got 3 sacks. Because we play a 3 man front we don't always get sacks, but we pressure and hit every single play...he will be forced to throw quickly and force passes, and Alabama's secondary is the best he will have ever seen. He might dink and dunk a bit, but unlike New Mexico, Missouri State, or Troy, our linebackers are extremely fast and physical. Our corners and safeties cover a lot of ground in a hurry. Your YAC will be significantly lower than it was against your tomato can opponents.

On offense, you are right, we lost Mark Ingram and Greg McElroy. After 3 games we are leading the SEC in rushing. Against our best opposition to date (PSU) Bama had 5.3 ypc - exactly the same as last season, even though PSU has improved defensively and is currently ranked in the top 10 defensively.

Arkansas is ranked 35th in the country on defense against a weaker schedule. To date, Arkansas schedule ranks among the weakest in the country. New Mexico has scored 26 points in 3 games this season - combined. Missouri State is at 38 total, 24 of which were against EKU. One of your Razorpig brethren actually said that Troy would beat Penn State...and you wonder why I think Arkansas fans are delusional...

Your offensive numbers have been put up against defenses that couldn't stop a stiff breeze. MO St. is mediocre even by FCS standards - they lost to the EKU Colonels out of the OVC, and gave up 400 yards of offense including 250 rushing. New Mexico gave up over 600 yards of total offense to Texas Tech...not a Mike Leach coached Tech team...a Tommy Tuberville coached Tech team. Troy gave up almost 470 yards of offense to Clemson. Those games did NOTHING to prepare you for playing AT Alabama.

Most of the criticism you have heard directed at our offensive line from our fans has little real merit. In our 2 glorified scrimmages, we have been rotating people to get experience, and still rank #2 in the SEC in scoring offense behind you guys with your schedule that has yet to include a team ranked in the top 100 in scoring defense. Our QB productivity has been hampered by rotation as we try to get our backup meaningful reps, and the fact that two of our our top returning receivers missed the first 2 games.

You can replace skill players with skill players. Losing your offensive line and QB in a pass-first offense is much more devastating than losing a QB, receiver, and RB, when there are legitimate Doak Walker candidates replacing the RB, and the QB was a "game manager," and you have a solid receiving corp otherwise. It would be nice if we had Carter in our lineup and up to speed by now, but even without him our receiving corp is very good. We have had 12 different receivers catch passes this season, compared with 13 for Arkansas - in spite of attempting 13 fewer passes. Without any pressure on him and against a secondary that allowed Troy to pick them apart, AJ McCarron is going to look like a legit Heisman candidate.

What is going to happen is this:

Arkansas will come out and have some success early but the Bama defense will clamp down. A slew of 3 & outs and turnovers by the Arkansas offense will follow. Wilson will not be able to sustain a rhythm because he will be harassed all day. The Alabama offense will chew on the Arkansas defense, grinding out yardage and first downs with ball-control passing and power running. 63 pass attempts by Troy resulted in 1 sack by the Arkansas defense, and that won't be any better against Bama. By midway through the second half, your defense will be gassed and the rout will be on. At some point we will probably have a broken coverage or two and give up 10-13 points due to big plays, but the Arkansas Razorpig defense - that is not nearly as good as the Penn State defense (not on the same planet), will be ground up into sausage.

One dimensional offenses do not fare well against Nick Saban defenses. Period. Petrino can scheme all he wants, but you can't scheme away such a glaring deficiency.

_________________________________________________

Every year we hear Arkansas fans screaming that this is their year. Last year with a QB who was touted as the best in the SEC and a good offensive line, it was supposed to be your year. Luigs is gone. Ryan Mallett is gone. 3 new OL starters playing in Bryant Denny Stadium with a new QB, and missing your best RB. You had a lot more reason to crow last season, playing an Alabama team with 9 new starters on defense and had lost 4 starters in the first two rounds of the NFL draft. Bama football is not predicated on fancy offense...it is about the defense putting the offense in a position to win the game. It is the job of the offense to not lose the game.

Wingo would not make the 3 deep at Alabama, and there is one starter on your OL who would see playing time at Alabama. I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with negative rushing yards against us. Your defense was less than stellar against Troy and games against New Mexico and MO St. are meaningless. The only TD's against the Bama defense this season have been trash time against PSU and because of an INT return to the 2 that was thrown by the reserve QB getting experience in a blowout.

Terry and I talked back in the spring about how this game was going to be overhyped when the reality was not the same...This game much more closely resembles the match-up of 2009 or 2008, than 2010, regardless of how you want to spin it.

LMAO.. Bigfan... Seriously, Neither I or You know what is going to happen in this game for sure, until the game comes and goes...

However, Nothing I said was personal. I don't get personal with people on the computer. I haven't the need to. I have plenty of personal contact off of the interwebs. Hopefully you do as well.

But as I once again posted... I have twice given a reasoning as to why I believe Bama will win this game and yet you still ***** and moan like a middle aged woman going through menapause without her hormones...

Let me break this down for you.... "WE AGREE ABOUT THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME"!!! now... I am sure you must retort once more, for some reason you have this inate desire to "One up" everyone when it comes to this game... So... to continue the "FLOW" You can "One Up" me once again, and I will simply reply... "UP YOURS"!

Terry? Is this what you meant by Have fun???

BTW.. isn't this fun....

and
1. There is no New Testament authority for the practice.
Though there were many gospel preachers in the first century, not one of them accepted and wore a religious title. I cannot read where Paul was ever called "Reverend Paul," Peter was ever called "Archbishop Peter," James was ever called "Pope James," Timothy was ever called "Pastor Timothy," or John was ever referred to as "The Right Reverend, Dr. John." The wearing of religious titles is a practice that arose centuries later. They were never worn with the approval of God by those in the Lord's church. Consequently, I refuse to go beyond the things which God has revealed that we should do in our worship of Him (2 Jn. 9-11; 1 Cor. 4:6; 1 Pet. 4:11; Rev. 22:18-19).

2. Wearing religious titles is expressly condemned.
The Lord Jesus forbade the practice when He said,
But be not ye called Rabbi; for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ (Matt. 23:8-10).
The wearing of religious titles to elevate one brother above another was soundly condemned by Jesus. The practice is contrary to the spirit of Christianity that "all ye are brethren."
Long ago Job said, "Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away" (Job 32:21-22).

3. RAZORBACK REVEREND is in all caps.. and if used as a funny "ha ha" and a Funny "Faux Pas" can seem somewhat masterful in lack of reverence.... Which is definitely in the term I am currently using it.. Afterall this is a message board with alters, egos, and wannabes??? Right....So... Have fun for a change...

Quote the Rev nevermore!!!!
