I see it bad only in that Fanuzzi was the QB recruited by Saban for '07. He was Saban's pick. Shula had Marve, then Saban came in and got Fanuzzi instead. I've read about 100 reasons why, but the fact is our top recruited QB for that year is gone. Since Saban didn't have much time to recruit his first season I won't hold any of that against him. I don't know that it was a "miss" per say or simply the best option out there at the time.

He received a medical redshirt last year. Unless he ends up at a school in a lower classification he will have to sit out aeason and would have three years eligibility remaining.
