Note to moderator responsible for the merging of this particular thread:

These merging of threads without identifying that they've been merged or without maintaining the integrity of the replies with their original posts is pretty darn confusing.

Why was Ump's post not allowed to stand on its own? It's very evident that he took some time with his comments, yet his post gets buried simply because of its topic. Ump's post did not consist of generalized statements.

It's almost as if certain voices are allowed to be heard and kept front and center, while others are suppressed or pushed aside.

Come on, use some better discretion when deciding to merge threads!

A "merging" should enhance a forum and associated thread, not stifle them.

If you really feel the need to control some of these threads, then why not focus on the negative-type responses that have been directed toward Utah fans? The Ute fan base seems to be some of the most knowledgeable and respectful fans that we have had visit the site this season, yet there are those bent on trying to belittle them.

FWIW factor, as to Ump's post, if the mods were following the rules here to the letter that post would have been deleted...copyrighted material from a premium site.

It's a valid point you bring up though considering the source of the article...I'll see if I can prune it out and make it a topic of its own with the proper reference to the source.

You are right Factor, I can understand your concern, and will try to remedy it my friend. I can promise you that we are not trying to hush any of our members, over zealous maybe, but never deliberately.

so Chizik plane was delayed until 550. I was probably one of the first few there. Sadly made myself look like a fool in front of the news. Myself and someone else just went inside the airport with the other coaches families and pretended like we were supposed to be there. We were in front of the hedges that they used to keep everyone back, even the media. It was pretty neat. False alarm and war eagled for a random plane. then about 5 minutes later Chizik's plane came, landed, he came out addressed the media. Said he left auburn with a dream to come back someday and this was a dream come true experience. came back and addressed the fans. signed autographs (i got the 4th autograph chizik ever signed as a head coach on my auburn flag which i flew on gameday) he took a ton of pictures and was awesome with all the fans. (my picture came out blurry cause the cam got switched to some funky setting in the chaos) I had a great time. As one who was not on board with the Chizik hire in the beginning, i have totally jumped boats. I think we can make things happen. he says he's gonna beat nick saban.

Great time, glad i went to support CGC.

I'm okay with that as long as Bama beats Auburn. Like Coach Saban keeps reminding the media; it's about the team, not him.
