💬 As old as I am, I still can't understand how some fans lose perspective (or, never had?)

This is a softball post from another forum. I'm still left speechless knowing fans like this actually exist. Check this rant out.

  We have Littlejohn and Osario and can't win a game. There is no other coach in America that could lose as many games with the players we have than Murphy! He is usually a good coach, but not this year.
  
  It doesn't matter who is pitching against us. We can't hit them. All our hitters need to have a bat to break over Murphy's head, but they would all miss. I wish we had Auburn's hitting coach! We couldn't play worse if all our girls were preganant. I noticed that Murphy was yelling at the girls after the game. HE NEEDED TO. THEY NEEDED TO YELL BACK AT HIM.

This might be a bad comparison and if so, so be it. Thoughts expressed like this remind me a lot of those that continue to say "if we build better facilities the win total will rise" when it comes to baseball, basketball, etc.

Team's 36-9 and ranked. No, they are not as good as previous years. But they aren't bottom of the barrel crap either.

Small problem there: Auburn's hitting coach just left the program. That's the reason for this outlandish statement...

That's the "official line" from Auburn; "resigned to spend more time with his family."

A year ago he was almost "Tubervilled" when he was involved with one of their players—she transferred so the story fell by the wayside, so to speak. That was "dealt with" by the administration at Auburn only to come up again. If you'd like to play a little "connect the dots" here ....

Junior infielder Emily Spain has “taken a leave of absence” from the program, Auburn coach Clint Myers announced Thursday afternoon.

“She has taken a leave of absence, and she’ll be not with us until the end of the year,” Myers said.

“She’s taking a leave of absence,” Myers said. “She’s been seeing a doctor. It’s just the way it is. She needed some time, so she’s got it.”

The Pelham, Ala., native was not introduced with her teammates as a non-starter for Auburn prior to the Tigers’ Wednesday night win over Georgia State.

Spain has not appeared in a game since March 26, where she pinch hit in a 7-0 loss at Florida. The junior appeared in 13 games this season, starting the first 6 of the season at second base. She batted an .071 with 1 hit, 6 runs scored and 4 walks in 14 at-bats. Spain started 2 games for the Tigers in 2016.

“Life goes on,” Myers said. “That’s the great thing about sports. No one person’s bigger than the program. It just means that somebody else has to pick up the load.”

Watched game 1 with UT....(and some others during year)
I am amazed year after year how Bama cannot get a clutch hit against top opponents...get players on...but not the hit....
In game one...pitcher stayed behind in the count...thats not good...and looked tired......
The UT pitcher...would fall behind in count...2-0...and groove a changeup ....seemed every time...and hitter would take......
I dont know......see how season plays out
