šŸ“ Arch Manning commits to Texas

Well, I happen to agree with just about everything said in this video. What I don't like is him bashing a high school kid like #70 that didn't ask for it, or even get on a roll just drilling Arch as if he asked for it. That part is a little much. I think it's fine for a forum chat, but putting it on YouTube trying to get subscribers and views is too much for my taste, even though I agree with most of what he is saying.

Saw a video that questioned Arch’s true skill level due to the competition he plays against. He’s not attending any of the all-star passing camps, he hasn’t committed to play in any all-star games. The video expressed concern that doing these things would expose his weaknesses against elite competition.

I’m not saying he’s not good or doesn’t have talent, but usually competitors want to compete.

I think it's more of the plan they set out for him. Technically (in regards to his mechanics), he'll never get better coaching than he has fromhis family. Tgey went through it with Peyton, you see how they handled Eli, so now they have an even better plan with Arch. "Don't show 'em too much" His valuation is already off the charts, so why cost him any money by raising potential questions? But yes, I agree with you, "competitors want to compete".

"He hasn't played in All-Star games."

The All-Star games, like Army All-American, hasn't sent out invitations yet. His game, featuring his class, hasn't been played.

"Don't show them much."

He has attended camps where he's done well (as mentioned earlier, the latest being Clemson.) He's been playing ball with his New Orleans Isidore Newman team (7 on 7 team competition) and he's done well there as well. He's planning, or at least was planning, on passing this week at the Manning camp.

Ya know, while he hasn't put up the same numbers through his junior season, his story is a lot like that of Brodie. He was rated highly and his nay-sayers pointed to the competition in his high school teams' class, the size of the schools, etc.

Speaking of. I saw Brodie come down to Parrish Alabama his freshman year for a semi-final playoff game. I couldn't believe the arm he had being as spindly as he was, but dayuum he could sling it. BTW they beat Parrish that year 22-14 but lost the next week in the championship game to Billingsley. That was in '97.

Brodie did have a rocket arm...and as nice a young man as could be,...
Just shit Oline killed him...

Texas signed another top WR today. I’m his statement he said, I’ll have Ewers next year and Arch my sophomore year, so I’ll be playing with the best 2 QBs in college.

Man, did he forget the Heisman winner and runner up, that will both be playing next year?

I don't think that kid knows what he's saying or really knows college football. It's the same guy that went around videoing trophy rooms and got that whole thing started. To me, he's the kind of guy that has kept Texas from realizing their true potential. Just my two cents though based off what I have seen from him on social media and such.
