Another member of the Wilson family will continue his athletic career at Alabama.

Peyton Wilson, a class of 2019 standout fromHoover High School, committed to new coach Greg Goff and intends on playing baseball for the Crimson Tide.

"He brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm and a commitment about winning national championships at Alabama," Wilson said. "Both he and his coaching staff have been extremely active this summer in trying to bring the best players to Alabama."

Early commitments among top-level prospects in baseball are not the exception anymore. And unlike in football, most of them stick.

Wilson is a catcher and middle infielder for the Bucs. At 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds, Wilson bats switch and throws right.

He's also a sophomore quarterback for the Bucs' football team.

Oldest brother John Parker Wilson was a three-year starting quarterback at Alabama, playing his final two seasons for Nick Saban and leading the Crimson Tide to an undefeated regular season record in 2008. He spent five years in the NFL with three teams.

Another brother, Ross Wilson was a power-hitting middle infielder at Alabama from 2008-2010. He played in the minor leagues from 2010-14, reaching AA ball with two organizations.
