The fans in southern California have seen enough, and they want to see the USC Trojans make a coaching change.

With the apparent reluctance to make a move by the USC administration, the fans have decided to take things into their own hands. As many internet movements do these days, the campaign by the Trojan fan base to get head coach Clay Helton fired has ended up on GoFundMe. Created on Tuesday by a user with the screen name ā€œBri M,ā€ the title of the fundraising campaign is ā€œTime for Clay to fly away!ā€

This movement was sparked by the incredibly underwhelming season that USC is currently having. After losing to rival UCLA, a team with a 2-8 record going into the game, the Trojans are now 5-6 and need to beat the No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish just to make a bowl. With the way USC has played this season, that doesn’t seem too likely. After watching one of college football’s greatest programs struggle so badly in 2018, the fans are fed up and ready for a change. That much is evident from the description of the GoFundMe campaign.

There was an article linked here (may have been from the RSS feeds, can't recall) that was based on how the SEC may get through this season without seeing any coaching changes. While we may not see any coaching staffs fired/released (too much football left to determine that is an odd thing to think, but it's true to a degree) there's a strong chance we'll see the SEC "raided" if Helton is fired.

There's a reason you see the media members asking Franklin about the possibility of him taking the USC job if offered--that story has been bantered about in the coaching community for a few weeks now. We've also see Del Rio and Fisher's names tossed around--but I'm seeing very little difference between those rumors and the "Gruden to Tennessee" rumors each time they have a coaching search.

The current thought(s) are if Franklin decides to go west, Penn State will be looking south to their new coach--Joe Moorhead. What would that mean for Mississippi State? @bamachine you may not like this much...but word has it they'll be looking seriously at Bill Clark.

I would rather MissSt get him than AU get in in another year. He would improve MSU but not enough to be a yearly serious threat to Bama. I think Moorhead may have secured himself another year, especially with how he came out for his players last night.
