🏈 An Eye on the Clemson Tigers

Finally heard someone compare Watson to Dobbs. It was Greg McElroy.

I called it first!!

I was glancing over the forum when you posted that, Prote, and it was following Mack Brown's breakdown of the game. His comparison was Chad Kelly (along with Colt and Vince Young, of course.)

What threw me for a loop is Mack talking about the success Kelly had passing while quoting 10 for 17 with 2 TD's.

The 10 for 17 drew a "WTF" question from me. I have NO CLUE where he pulled those numbers.

I'm not taking a thing away from Kelly here. But, I am saying Mack hasn't a clue ... hell, Kelly threw for three TD's in the game. I fully realize two were "questionable;" certainly not scoring passes that were/are something to laud ... but, those are the breaks of the game.

I don't care how they play this ... MCL strain, it's Saturday, and there's a 60% chance he'll play.

OK, I can go with that with one HUGE caveat: He won't be close to his original self.

Don't read the Clumpson board. Apparently our dline is overrated, Alabama has no one outside of Henry, Watson is unstoppable, and Clemson wins 45-17. I am no kidding, they honestly think Clemson will win by a large margin.

Good, their tears late Monday night will be even sweeter. I can't wait to read them discussing how they don't understand how they lost.

Agreed. If he is truly injured that badly, I can't see him playing or being as effective if he does. Further injury will be in mind for sure and no doubt affect his play as well.

He's going to the draft now as a consensus top 10 among DE prospects with likely a chance at a late first to late second round selection.

Obviously, that stands to take a big hit if he undergoes surgery and recovery over the final evaluation period.

Brent McMurphy tweeted: "Lane Kiffin said Steve Sarkisian texted him some plays to run at halftime of Michigan State game. Kiffin wouldn’t say if he used them or not"

How to take existing coaching advantage and put it completely out of reach:
- have Nick Saban, world class staff and countless unnamed, unseen off field assistants, specialists, consultants, and analysts
- have 2 x D coords for the post season
- (rumored) bring in HUNH expert Chip Kelly for consultation
- have other top CFB play caller and QB coach (Sark) watch game and text in observations and plays.

I wonder if Muschamp had sent over all of USCe's film study and game notes.
