🏈 An Eye on the Clemson Tigers

I'd rather our guys wear crimson, but we played pretty well in White this year.

I'm gonna be stuck in Minneapolis Monday night. No alumni group up there. Sucks. Me and my Asian friend that I got a shirt for when the season started, looking for a place to enjoy the game. On a side note, she competed in the Miss Olympia bikini contest in Sept. So she looks pretty damn good in Crimson.

@planomateo agreed.

Clemson is caught within a hypocritical dichotomy of wanting to play the part of a disrespected underdog from the #1 position without embracing the humility, focus, and quiet professionalism that those successful in leveraging such motivation into game day success typically wield.

The perceived disrespect stems from a variety of public opinions and talking heads, of which, none are actual Bama players or coaches... or, surprisingly, the majority of Bama fans I've seen/read. Meanwhile, Clemson players and the majority of fan base continue to make direct attacks on quality of Bama players, schedule, and abilities. At best, the majority of the same group offer backhanded compliments toward all things Tide nation related. So, ironically, the Clemson disrespect as a motivator is creating an attitude of disrespect toward Bama. The UA players are certainly feeling it and soaking it in.

One team is doing a poor job of acting like they've been there, and the other is clearly determined to resolve unfinished business.

When emotions wear off for Clemson somewhere in the first half, Big Bad Boring Bama will continue the grind and finish big for another NC.

Yes, been reading all the news, interviews, most the Clemson players are really disrespected the Bama players big time. Not played anyone, Henry, Defense, Ridley. I don't think Clemson players has shown any respected to our players.

Hadn't heard this one.

Shaq Lawson confronts Oklahoma players prior to playoff - NFL.com

"There was a team luncheon between Clemson and Oklahoma (on Wednesday), and the buses arrived at the same time, and I guess they didn't have security," Oklahoma radio analyst Dusty Dvoracek told The Morning Animals radio show. "... Shaq Lawson got on OU's bus, running his mouth, putting his arms up. To say they were inches away from an all-out melee is keeping it nice. The energy, the intensity for this game, it is palpable."

Clemson star: 'Alabama is like a bully in middle school'
Now Bama are middle-school bully this is what Shaq Lawson is saying!

One of Clemson’s star players said something that a lot of Alabama’s opponents can relate to.

“Alabama is like a bully in middle school,” Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson told ESPN’s Sam Kahn, Jr. at Saturday’s media day for the national championship game.

The Crimson Tide is considered a “bully” by Las Vegas standards for college football’s the title match. Alabama is listed as nearly a touchdown-favorite over Clemson by oddsmakers.

The Tigers will likely need Lawson to pull off the upset. Lawson, who is struggling with a knee injury, told reporters there’s a “60-percent chance” he’ll play against Alabama.

I hadn't seen this about Lawson, but they did show a video of MacKenzie Alexander walking over to Baker Mayfield in warmups and talking crap and getting in his face.

Anyone ever seen a penalty for doing something like that?

Hopefully our guys can block it out and not fall into their games.

From that article:

“A lot of times we’d read one guy, however he played [that would] determine what my move would be,” Coker said. “It’s a lot of simplified things that Coach Kiffin made and he did a real good job of helping us out.

@uagrad93 moving the back seven

Sounds like some combo routes with 2 receivers. Smash route- outside receiver runs a short route and inside guy runs a corner route over the top. On the backside, drag and post routes. Move those safeties with your eyes!!
