🏈 An Eye on the Clemson Tigers

I'd rather our guys wear crimson, but we played pretty well in White this year.

I'm gonna be stuck in Minneapolis Monday night. No alumni group up there. Sucks. Me and my Asian friend that I got a shirt for when the season started, looking for a place to enjoy the game. On a side note, she competed in the Miss Olympia bikini contest in Sept. So she looks pretty damn good in Crimson.

Reggie just said sometimes guys would "blow their whole wad" during warm-up and pregame, when answering a question about the difference in preparation during a whole month layover for the BCS Championship game, vs. an 11 day layover in this title game.

Blow their whole wad.

He. Just. Said. That.

On the radio during the last presser here before leaving for Phoenix....

What a soundbyte

Depending on how you look at it, there's a few things missing from this story. I know I'm nit-picking here but this paragraph catches my attention:

It makes sense Alabama would need someone with Hurts' athleticism to rep Watson on the ground in practice. And it's a good thing Hurts enrolled early, because while Alabama has some talented quarterbacks on its roster, none has the running ability of Watson or Hurts.
Hurts is no Watson, either. Barnett isn't either but he's played the role of Watson as well.

What I find interesting is the scout team(s) have been simulating the pace of play—as much as Watson—by running two different huddles. I'd heard something similar to that back in the summer in 7 on 7's but had forgotten about it until one of the guys on SEC Now mentioned it in their latest broadcast. (I think it was Tessitore.)

Saying that reminds me of this ... call it a PSA, a warning, whatever.

ESPN is having three coaches offer commentary about the game Monday. Their choices are logical, but ... BUT.

Freeze, Meyer, and Kelly. Meyer doesn't show up until mid-afternoon but the other two will be featured all day long.

SEC Nation starts at 6 ET I believe. Those guys have done a good job this year and are only getting better. Even with ESPN having the three head coaches I believe the pre-game analysis will be a lot better from the SECN guys. I expect a very generic stuff from ESPN.

Homer Broadcast might be interesting to watch for a while. I'll probably look at several back and forth.
