In my opinion, barring some unseen injury/factor coming into the story, Bama is done with the '26 OL.

Everything seems to be trending for Oregon. Andi don't know the validity of this, but apparently he's supposed to be talking to our staff at some point tonight. Hope something changes now to tomorrow. Regardless of what happens, this recruitment won't be over.

Did we talk about this about a month ago...maybe in this thread? I think so. I want to say it was right around the time Oregon "showed up" and A&M was the team to beat. (I still don't count them out.) It's been the Ducks for at least three weeks now. I said early on people around his high school were saying he was wanting to get out of town/state.

I don't know about the visit.

We'll see. I believe it's Oregon, A&M, then Bama. I hope I'm wrong. He'd be a good pickup.

Yep, you said it a while ago. I thought we'd be able to keep him, still a shot at doing so. But doesn't seem to be the case atm.

I understand that A&M has "opted out" on Tank. I don't have the whole quote, just a text saying TI said his A&M sources said they had and also pointed to Oregon as his landing spot. The message also mentioned one of the premium sites was saying "Oregon" all day yesterday and now they "don't know."

Hell. Why not just start with "I don't know" in the first place?

We talked about this before me and @TerryP had a discussion on it. He's purely Auburn he's been their guy for a while now.

Tank Jones debate is still interesting. I'm hearing Oregon has been in the lead but Bama is still very optimistic and Courtney Morgan has been working on something behind the scenes, I'm told.

I'd say it's Still Oregon 1 and Bama 2 but that could change if Bama can up their offer, staying in-state for a little less $$ is worth it. Especially if people start realizing they have to factor in Income Tax betwen Oregon 9.9% and Alabama 5% for any income over 125,000

You bring up a good point here. It's one I avoided because my first "full time work" was in TN; state tax. (And, understand, we spent some time in Economics in high school working on individual and business taxes as part of our school work. I thought it was great! ... no state income tax.)

My question revolves around this. You give a young kid a nickel and a dime and say pick one. Which one will he grab? It's the nickel. It's bigger, yet worth less, right?

Now, let's assume Tank gets a figure of 100K in his revenue share. With the tax rate, it's $9900 vs $5000. How many 17 year old kids understand the difference. In the world of 100K offers $4400 is a piece of chewing gum from the machine.

(I've been told there is very little differences between A&M, Oregon, and Bama at this point when it comes to NIL.)

Another thing on Tank that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. It doesn't matter which state you are from. But, I'll use Louisiana as an example because they "rule this world." If a kid from LA verbals to another school, especially one that's out of state, they hear about their choice whether it be with friends, at school, you name the scenario. People will ridicule under the guise of "why leave the state?"

Alabama isn't as bad. But, that still exists.

He's making his verbal before school starts. So, if he chooses out of state why not wait until the signing period? I don't know if he's an EE...but if he is, it's "announcement, move to Oregon, and move on with life." Here, it's commit and then what happens around him?

There are family dynamics at play I'm not privy to here...

Feels like his family wants him at Alabama but he wants to get out of Alabama. This could be landon Collins situation.
