📝 🏈 '26 Class Recruiting Updates

One last thing on Tank this morning.

Over the last few years I've mentioned a few times how I haven't been pleased with the defensive line recruiting or their development. I feel pretty confident saying these things are being used against Bama on the recruiting trail. Tank specifically mentioned Oregon and A&M putting kids in the league. He has had some nice things to say about Bama; that's hasn't been one. Unless I've missed it, he sees those two as a better avenue to the league.

Look at the drafts. He's right.

There is a shit ton of potential in front on defense. A few guys that are ready: upperclassman. A lot that aren't...or, a lot that are in the group, "left to be seen."

It's not Roach that has Bama in this discussion: it's Robinson. I was told a few months ago there were staff members who needed to show their mettle. ⏲️

BUT ... seasons kicking off and I'm not one to roast coaches or players in the season. January is another story if things continue as they have.

I know exactly who you're talking about.

Did we have same issue last year and we had some members closing for almost all of the kids ?

Slow this morning, I guess. Lost me here.

Last year? Missing Woods > missing Tank.
That one still hurts. But for me, none come close as to when we missed out on Nakobe Dean to Georgia. Then if you remember all the injuries at that position that same year, we could have really used him there. He would've almost certainly started over Shane lee that season, who didn't do that bad, but just couldn't seem to put it all together like Harris did.

I'm not sure that there are 2 better examples of recruitments that best exemplify Bama's recruiting strategy than the 2 previous players that have been discussed. It's a new age, Bama (DeBoer and Morgan, specifically) has (IMO) the smartest and most sustainable strategy out there based on their resources. UA will be fine... just win games on the field.
