📝 🏈 '26 Class Recruiting Updates

At 4.77 40, yup. Don't why I'm a little skeptical, however.
No P4 offers except Bama's? It's easy to form a perception based upon offers.

Personally, based on what I saw from Brent Key when he was in Tuscaloosa, I trust his evals on offensive lineman. And, ya gotta admit, the kid has ALL the measurables.

A lineman named Bear is always a take.

As you can see I've spent a little time looking at this guy (while watching Happy Gilmore II, so call this a cursory view.)

One thing and this is where I started when I saw the verbal. I'd never heard of the kid, okay? But, I saw OT and GT. Georgia Tech means the kid has book smarts and that seems to work out A LOT with developing offensive linemen.

Then I found out he's been home schooled. In my opinion that puts him on a different plane than other Georgia Tech people—a different kind of smart.

He started playing ball, public school ball, a few years ago. So ...

You see people looking at three stars an questioning the offer. In my view, a kid with those measurables? Yeah, take the chance! His ranking can be defined by "home schooled" and "only playing a few years." No one heard of him like they do most kids in Junior High.

My instinct tells me he'll grab his fourth star from Rivals pretty soon. ESPN's rankings are what puts him at his current ranking: composite.

Light on his feet, pretty good bend/flexibility for a kid his size.
It's shaping up to be a good '26 class for the OL.

  • 'Bear' Fretwell - T
  • Micah DeBose - G/T
  • Jackson Lloyd - LT
  • Michael Carroll - RT/G
  • Mal Waldrep - G/T
In my opinion, barring some unseen injury/factor coming into the story, Bama is done with the '26 OL.
